Self Feminized Dutch Passion BlueBerry from seed to harvest

Okay I never started one of these but it turned out so nicely that I thought I should document it. After all there will be journals for each new strain I created in this grow!

So to start out I will just say that I am a chronic pain patient and this is medical marijuana. I built my grow area 4'X9' for flower and then a 4'x4' for veg and clones.

As stated these seeds came from Dutch Passion and were not feminized. I have some of those but we will talk about that later. This is months of information I am adding here and then I will keep up with it from there.

This would probably be a good time to tell what I had at this time. My FLOWER area is only 55" high and I have a 1000 HPS Hortilux in an air cooled hood vented in and out through the attic and a filter on the intake. I also have a small A/C unit which also exhausts its heat into the attic. For VEG I had one 12" fan and I got 3 4' shop lights with cool white bubls and added to the 96 watt compact flouro for moms and clones.

You will see from the pics that I am using the top of a workshop with a garage door. Later you will see why the opener for the garage door is missing. I moved it to the attic and my light hangs from it through a slot in the sheet rock so it can move back and forth for a light mover. I am also going to be adding other improvements as we go.

I started these Dutch Passion BlueBerry seeds in paper towels on 11/17/2008 and then put in Fox Farms Ocean Forest under a 96 watt compact flouro on 11/19/2008 in the bathroom floorin a 2'x3' nook.
They went under 1000 HPS on 12/12 on 1/8/2009. I ended up with 8 females. I also started a Dutch Passion BlueBerry Feminized (I mentioned earlier) and it went under 12/12 on 2/11/2009.
LATER YOU WILL SEE HOW I MADE MY OWN FEMINIZED SEEDS AND SOME CROSSES! Now for some pics!

I took these clones from a Dutch Passion Bubblelicious mother I had kept from an outdoor grow last year. I managed to succeed in using dirt to clone.

They are only a couple weeks in the flower room pic and the BlueBerry is at 5 weeks.

I then built a cloner and succeeded in taking a bunch more Bubblelicious clones and am now in the proccess of taking BlueBerry Feminized clones. The BlueBerry was harvested at several stages but most was kept for a couple extra weeks and it produced flowers and pollenated with female pollen. I also pollenated some female Bubblelicious and and a BlueBerry Feminized as well as a strain I have that is the sweetest and smoothest I have ever bought that I call Happy Daze. It only had one seed in it and it popped and turned out female. YES! Now I have a clone of it for a mother and some Feminized seeds crossed from the BlueBerry. How sweet it is. The stuff smells like Juicy Fruit gum and I can't wait to harvest those seeds and raise up and try the cross.

The cloner I built and the first soldier to succumb to my need for medicine.:mrgreen:bongsmilie

It was so sweet it blows my mind. I used Bio Bizz organic nutes and it is the best I have ever smoked.:blsmoke:

Here you can see the flowers and Feminized seeds as well as some white weed from light damage. It is wild it is bleached white but growing normal. I will have it all dried weighed and pics in a few days and will let you know how white weed tastes.:joint:
:peace:

Here is a little bit of 1 of the 6 BlueBerry that is dried and I am smoking now. It is also carrying a beautiful bounty of Feminized seeds from either itself or its one of its sisters. Just porn basically.:weed:

I jarred up another plant today and should be jarring up the last couple by Sunday. Once it is all dried and weighed I will take pics and continue with curing.

I would love to hear what you think and will answer any questions asked.:bigjoint:

As pomised! Bud Porn!
They weighed in at 23gm, 29gm, and 37gm.
You can see all the Feminized seeds in there and it smokes like a dream. Well at least what I have smoked so far.
I have Bubblelicious that was seeded by the same feminized BlueBerry that is on day 55.
Let me know what you think!
In some of these pics you can see flowers and seeds.
Any questions?:bigjoint:

Hey Buddy.. Your setup looks like I have been there!! Your stuff looks great. The hardwork and all the reading does pay off in green! I hope my setup will put out something close to that one day. I am sure it will I will be getting help from a good friend on the build :) Nice work! Subscribed

Thanks alot guys! I am going to start updating the current Bubble Gum grow and will begin to sprout the new Feminized Blue Berry crosses one at a time and will provide all of the details and pics as I go. I am excited to see what I find. We can learn together.
P.S. I have roots starting on 24 more Blue Berry clones and will provide pics in the next few days of roots, potting and such. More pics tonight. My wife had surgery so I have been at the hospital for 2 days and had 4 hours of sleep in the past 48 so I have got to crash for now.:eyesmoke:

Just to clear something up that some may have noticed from the pics. I am no where near capacity nor am I maximizing height or nutes yet. The reason for this is simple. This was my first indoor all the way to bud indoor grow. I just grew this crop as I put it all together and the upcoming Blue Berry Feminized clones are from a Feminized Dutch Passion seed. Since I have grown it now I am going to make some adjustments to maximize yield. I will be harvesting a pound or more every 3 weeks by July! Follow and see!:weed:

Here you will see the retired mother at day 42 and 2 sets of her clones. One set of 15 at day 57 and the other set of 15 at day 4.
The ones at day 57 are going through another growth cycle and will be packing on lots more weight.:hump:

Looks good man!!

Thanks Hunt4.
Here is what I have right now for seeds. Of course I didn't count and lable them all until after I took this pic and but here is what I have right now and I will do it again once all of the batches are harvested and then start the documented trial grows of each cross.
DPBB3XDPBB I have 24 feminized seeds
DPBB4XDPBB I have 36 feminized seeds
and so far 2 feminized DPBB6XDPBB

Oh and I have 16 California Orange seeds that are not feminized. I don't know if I will ever grow those since I have 2 moms of this strain already and so much else going on.

This is going to be a cool grow to see the what happens to the crossed plants.
I know what you can do with the california orange seeds! Give the to a friend that cuts Grass!! Ha Ha I bet you know what I am talking about..

Total noob but still have some questions.

Did you get the pollen from a hermi that came from a feminized seed? I remember from an article in high times from around 1994 I think that female plants pollinated by a hermi gives somewhere around 75% female seeds. But those seeds had a descent chance to be hermi themselves don’t recall the chance.

My understanding although I wouldn’t be surprised if I’m totally wrong is. That the seed banks stabilized the strains created by pollinating females with hermi pollen. Increasing the % of female seeds and reduceing the chance of hermi’s. Is this what you’re going for or are you just using pollen from a male that came from a feminized seed?

I’m defiantly interested in your progress. Although I think it took the seed banks years to get the hermi’s worked out and up the % of female seeds. Anyways I’m starting to rant wish you stability in your strains.
