If your trichomes are milky and turning amber already why is it that you will wait a couple weeks more to harvest? What are you shooting for, brown trichomes and compost?

No man, when 50% of the trichs turn amber then it reaches full potency thats why dood. But you do have a point, it really depends on how quickly the plant matures, it could take between 3-14 more days to reach that after the trichs initialy turn milky and amber .

more amber means less THC, but more CBD and CBN. My white widow is too speedy for me cut clear/milky. Im with EBE, more amber, more better....till about 50%. Unless you got a mean anti-insomnia indica :)

The best time to harvest is when the trichome color will give you the type of high or stone you prefer and not when someone claims maximum potency will be achieved.

If someone prefers more of a head high they would not want any amber trichomes.

If someone prefers a couch-lock stone they would not want any milky white trichomes.

If they want a combination of head high and couch-lock stone a 50/50 combination of milky white and amber trichomes if when to harvest.

There is no singular best trichome color or color combination for when it is the right time for everyone to harvest so it is not all about potency but instead about preference of head high or body stone or a combination between the two.

Also when you have reached the point you have reached it is dangerous to arbitrarily pick a period of time and say that is how long you will continue to grow and then harvest. I have had plants chance from just barely beginning to turn from clear trichomes to brown trichomes in only three days so adding a week or two could easily take someone past any chosen prime harvesting trichome color or combination of colors.

That could be a valid point but then it is a case of Green House Seeds White Widow and that is, as Green House Seeds itself describes it, a moderate level THC strain of White Widow.

Green House Seeds says the THC level is 12.4%. The original White Widow was rated as being 21% so not all White Widow is created equal or should be treated or grown as being equal.

Ok im just saying ive grown plenty of time and harvested with a 40x microscope and i usually take potency tests every week or so and it get way good shit at about 50-70% amber. Yes i get F'd up hard from my Ak47 and Northern Lights.

No one will ever catch me claiming to be an expert but I have no qualms mentioning that I have 37 years of growing experience so I do tend to question people’s reasoning when it runs contrary to what I have learned in almost 4 decades of growing.

Of course I will admit that it really only comes down to personal preference and not a singular best trichome color or combination of colors for when the best time is to harvest but going by my preference the plants would have already passed their prime once amber trichomes were found let alone if they reaced a 70% amber stage.

I am a sativa lover and the more head high there is the better the pot is to me. I detest being almost incapacitated and glued to a couch with a case of munchies so powerful that I eat an entire cow and then follow that with a half dozen burrito supremes and wash it all down with four Big Gulps.

I prefer strains that not only have THC but also THCV, something not found in indica strains and little of which is found in crosses high in indica, and low levels of CBD. I much prefer a Bugatti Veyron-like high over a Yugo stone.

:weed::joint:Thanks for the comments.
I'm also growing Greenhouse White Widow right now and am at exactly nine weeks of flowering. I am going to let mine go a little bit longer though, as my trichs are only about 5-10% amber and some are still clear. Been flushing for almost two weeks now and can't wait to harvest, but I've gone this long so another week of being patient won't kill me. Good luck on the rest of the grow, my plants looked exactly like yours two weeks ago. :joint::weed:
