the only problem is i dont know how i can vent the heat a hid offers. i guess i could cut a 4in hole in the roof and vent it to my attic . i wanted to try to stay as cheap as possible. im seeing now that i would just be better off using cfl in veg and finding a 250-400w hps for flowering. its such a small space i dont know what size fan to use or how long to run the fan to keep the temps right.
Seriously what I would suggest is slowly build your room as finances are available. Start with splitting the space in half, and start your first grow in the 2'-1/2'x2' area. For that space a 400 HPS would work great. You could have a nice little scrog with decent yield. as funds become available, pick up a 400 MH for the other space, and make that your veg room. This way you can keep a nice little perpetual grow going.
If your interested in going that way, pick up a decent size in line fan that you know will cool both reflectors. Personally I use a 465 cfm for the reflectors, and a 530 cfm to ventilate both rooms. The 530 cost me $90 shipped.
What you would need to do is cut a 6" hole in the top corner of one of the rooms, running the ducting through the reflector, or reflectors up through the attic and out a vent. You will also need some kind of passive air intake to pull cool air from outside the grow space.
It's not a cheap hobby, but with the proper equipment, it makes it much more efficient.
