Hey Tips, nice plants man!

I read toward the beginning of the thread you used some t5 lights(flowering) and switched to the 400 hps. What is your opinion on t5 vs. hps for flowering? and what size t5( length, # bulbs, Watts) were you using?

hey zig....I use the sunleaves pioneer IV T5

for flowering the hps makes better bigger buds faster...but I have used the T5 for flowering and it makes some fine bud...just not as fast as the hps..
also in the T5 I use 2 bloom tubes and 2 veg tubes.....

I have heard some growers claim a 4 foot, 8 bulb t5(4- 3000k & 4- 6500k) can flower just as high quality buds as a 600 hps. less wattage and cooler lights. funny thing is most growers have not actually tried both. guess I will just have to try it myself.

as far as quality, I can't tell any difference between hps and the T5. I think the main difference is quantity.

my very first grow was hydro w/T5...it was god bud from bcbd and it was great weed...just not a big harvest.
