Doesn't matter which way you squirm...you are a thief!! Every thief finds their own justification and yet the vast majority of folks DON'T steal. You need to take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself why you feel entitled to some one else's stuff.... you don't have to be a lowlife scumbag....you choose to be. Just don't expect any applause. It is CERTAINLY nothing to brag about...you just expose your incredible character flaws for all to see.
Look, I have employed many people in my day. Once, my guys started a poker night which rotated at each of their homes every friday night. What they did on their own time was not my business. I was invited but as their employer, I felt I shouldn't mix business with pleasure, although they were all great guys. I would take them on COMPANY fishing trips and BBQ's and such, but this was different.
Anyways, I overheard that one of my guys (we'll call him Bert) got caught cheating at cards. No big deal....penny ante stuff (like you). I waited two weeks and then fired his ass even though he made me lots of dough and was overall a good employee. I never mentioned to anyone that I knew about the cards.
However, I knew as most folks do and certainly employers KNOW, that if a guy or gal will cheat at penny ante stuff, they will steal from you eventually.
Once a thief, always a thief.
You're a thief. it's easier to just laugh it off, but in the end I am right about this. You are just too priggish to see it.
