Single bladed leaves

Ok, I am wondering what i can do about these single bladed leaves that are stretching out of the bud itself. It's my understanding that these should not grow to be long and linky away from the bud itself. Can I trim any of them away? Not the fan leaves....but the single bladed shaders!

please advise!

no no no no leave them, those are the bud leaves those will make some exelent bud shake and they will be all sugary in no time, plus they give the buds power to grow

I leave every living part of the plant intact unless its dead or I am in veg and about a week away from flowering and am trying to get a growth pattern established.

Best advise is to just leave it alone and let it grow. If you are concerned with light penetration, move it out of the way.

there's a problem if they are growing single bladed leaves. Are the leaves abnormally large? If so it might be nitrogen toxicity

Thanks Fats! Boneman...long time no hear my friend..... I'm on grow no.2 and havin quite a few probs this time i might add. If y'all don't mind take a quick look at this pic. First of all the bud looks really under developed and also those shade leaves. You guys take a look if ya don't mind....

I've had plants that were fed too much nitrogen that formed 3 bladed leaves that were really large, too large. Then they grew single bladed leaves where they were dark green and curled down.
I flush if the problem comes up and after the flush the plant starts growing 5+ bladed leaves again.

That's what i was thinking. I normally keep the plants on a 7am to 8pm. A few times a may have kept them under the light till like 11pm if i could not get back to them in time. (no Timer) i may have made that mistake a few times. but i always tried to make it up by just leaving it in the dark for 10 to 12 hours no matter what time they were put into darkness. I did't think that would stress the plants too much. but i think i was wrong. They seem to be back on the right track now. I can see the jewel coming back. And yes, the first thing i did when I noticed the prob was to flush the plant...... then run to you guys of coures!

I agree with Ganjababy, looks likeit is revegging, that is where those single bladed leaves come from. next would be 3, than 5, 7, etc. are these clones or from seed? I would guess clones.
and a timer is like 7 dollars.

and if you flushed, you should be feeding right after. there were no deficiencies I can see so flushing will have done more harm if you didnt appl;y ferts right away.

Yes, i hit it with nutes like hrs. after flushing. And I own a timer, but the placement of the plants would not be dark enough to just turn off the lights so I move the plants. making the timer useless...feel me? So let me ask y'all this..... I once read in a high times insert something about 72 hrs. of darkness to force flowering..... any thoughts on that? Oh yeah, since it's revegging...I can prunes that damn thing then right? God knws it looks like it needs it.

P.S the single stem plant was starting to do the same thing notice the thin stretchy area at the top. Will this fill in? Everybody keeps tellin me the 2 stem plant's buds are gonna fill in...as much as I wanna CHOP IT. I am gonna do as i'm told and wait. Does anybody have anypictures of plants that have gone through this and maybe pics of the outcome?

don't trim anything up. It has to start flowering again, you are nowhere close to chopping I'd say at you have at least 5 weeks to go. Are you giving it veg or flower nutes?

flowering nutes with molasses and super thive. I figured since it was revegging it would be the perfect time to do it. And only in this case...when i said chot it I meant give up on it and throw it out. but i won't. I also use a lil miracle grow organic food

Yes, excessive darkness is believed to induce a type of shock on the plant making it believe the season is nearing it's end and it needs to start flowering.

Thanks Aqua. I think I'll try it. Is there any steps needed to bring the plant out of that shock... or can it maintain on it's own?

And yes, I am using CFL's 2 lil desk lamps. each with a bulb comprable to a 65 watt incandescent
