Easy,Quick,Cheap way to lower pH!

I was looking for a quick,easy way to LOWER my water pH immediatly when I stumbled apon a post somewhere that said 5% vinegar would do the trick! So I did some testing and found out that 1tsp. will lower water pH by @ .5 . I have read lemon juice will work also but its a little more money. Anyone know of any home remedies to RAISE pH??

The guy in the video needs to show what the water tested about 6 hours latter. I'll bet it is back to near where he began. Vinegar has no buffering agent to hold the PH lower. It will work but you'll be beating yourself up trying to keep it low. Save yourself the trouble and buy a commercial product made to hold the ph down. Also growing in hydro the range is 5.0 to 6.5. You can drift out of those ranges but not far and not for long.

Maximum yield did a thing on vinegar. Not so good. (but then no vinegar company advertises in the rag)

Just hit up the pet store and get some fish tank pH down.

Thats the problem, im 2 hours from a store like that and i cannot wait for an internet order...

Then its ok to use the vinegar or lemon/lime juice while waiting for the right stuff.

A a footnote, when I add nutes, I always need to add pH up.

Yep! you guys are right, its a short term solution only! I learned a valuble leason a while ago that you always want to have 2 of all the vitals that you need, that way your not left in the dark, ect...! I've also learned how important pH is to a plant ! Kit already shipped!
