So how much does it really smell?

I am a couple weeks deep first grow and I have no idea what to expect when it comes to odor. I live with my parents right now, and they know about this grow.

The grow is in a small room, about or 6'x4'x8' in my basement. One of the strains is super skunk.

I plan on exhausting through a carbon fliter, but I might not be able to right away because I dont have an inline fan right now. If I get a couple of those cans of smell gel that are shown in the odor thread, will that keep my basement not rediculously smelly?
upstairs should be good right?

i am also on super skunk(1 month in)and it will stink the complete building/house out no matter what you do in the way of carbon filters etc.

damn im growin some skunk, i hope thats not the case haha, roomates will kill me ( parents ) what if i were to vegg till like 14" how bad would it smell at that height then i move it outside, sorry to gank the thread.

THE SMELL IS A LARGE PART OF ENJOYING THE GROW.....IF YOUR PARENTS ARE OK WITH IT WHATS THE WORRY???

Here is my suggestion:

Grow one Chamomile plant per 2 Marijuana plants. Jasmine and Lavender are quite aromatic as well but don't do as well in containers I find.
Also, for every 4 plants, put a bowl containing an entire box of baking soda on the ground next to them.

Keep room well ventilated.

Show some respect to your parents buddy, get rid of our plant. When you can pay for an apartment and all your bills grow away...

Im probably going to be putting them outside then. People come over often.

BUT the chamomile idea, how much different is that growing wise? Pretty low matienance (SP?)?

when i had 5 plants in my basement and it stuck up my entire house no matter what i did. its pretty hard to mask the odor.
