Fuck that shit, Methadone was much easier to get off of then the Suboxone. They tell you how easy it is to taper off of and stop. They are full of shit. I was on it for quite some time (its given as a detox drug or a maintianence drug) over 3 years. I took me 8 months to taper off my dose. when I did come time to taper down from 24 mg a day to only .5 mg a day, I still suffered from a severe dope sickness for almost a full month. I took about a year to actully feel good again. The better part of a year was just misserable and sad with zero energy and no sex drive.
It takes along time to get your brain to produce the dopamine again.

This drug did help me beat a 10 year heroin addiction, but by no means was it easier to come off of them methadone. It last longer and hurts more.

I would suggest just stopping the heroin all together, at least that only lasts a week or so. I've done that way to many times to count.

i have been addicted to heroin for going on 2 years now, i have a prescription to suboxone...and its a wonder drug, if i wake up sick, i just stick one under my tounge and i am no longer sick that day, heroin withdrawls are horrible ( dope sick )

if you take suboxone for 3 days straight you will no longer wake up sick from H withdrawls, just mental cravings....suboxone can not be used for recreation, it wont get you high, mabye if youve never used any opiates you might feel something, but trust me, it just is for taking away H withdrawls...it is a wonderful drug, and it can be used in a very smart way to get off heroin in less than 3 days. heroin addiction is hell, and is the most stupid thing anyone could willingly do. most people dont wake up and say hey i want to beaddicted to heroin! no, it happens over time, before you know it you wake up sick, cold sweats, etc. and you have to go get a shot. its hell, and no one should want to go through it. unless you have been addicted to heroin you dont know what being dope sick is, so dont talk to me about that if you havent been there. all in all. dont do heroin. and you wont have to get suboxone but if you are addicted to h, suboxone is there and its wonderful. anyquestions just ask

It certainly can get you high. Even opiate addicts use it to get high. Once youve taken it for a week or so straight, then the blocking of the effect takes place. But for recreational use, it does get you very high. Almost sick high.

Stephan94, you will soon learn that suboxone Withdrawel is much worse then both heroin and Methadone. Then you will stop praising the drug and realize how dumb you were to defend it. It targets your dopamine receptors in your brain so well, that people who use it for a long period of time never recover from it.

Sure it helps you come off of heroin, but your only trading one evil for another. Just stop using, work the program and get a fucking support structure. Suboxone doesn't do anything to fix your addict behavior. Your still gonna be a scumbag with or without the heroin. You need to reprogram your brain, not just fill it with more opiates and try to fool it.

Whats gonna happen when you go to jail for growing some weed and didnt have 6 months to taper off of the suboxone? You gonna be deathly fucking sick, thats what. You think the WD's are gonna be less then your heroin, your wrong. Trust me I've been there. It kicked heroin so many times it was getting easy for me. I wanted to eat a fucking bullet for 28 days straight coming off the suboxone at .5mg. Not to mention how shitty I felt for the entire 8 months of tapering off to a lower dose.
I don't think the human body is strong enought to come off a high dose of suboxone cold turkey. I beleive it would do serious damage to your nerves and brain. No lie, I didn't sleep for 9 straight days. Not a fucking wink.... I took Trazadone, Seroquil, Valium, 4 Xanax Bars, Wisky, Vodka, Ketamine..Ect Ect Ect. I couln't fucking sleep. After 9 days I did a shot of Dope, Just enough to let me sleep for a while. Then it was back to the WD's.

I'm sure you get my point. Start kicking it now. Drop down every week by .5mg. Trust me it works.

when i use suboxone i use it for 5 or so days until the withdrawls are over. then i no longer wake up sick and have no need for h or suboxone. i know a lot of people on methadone and suboxone....and the methadone addicts take upwards of 6 months to get off it. i use suboxone long enough to get over h withdrawls (ya know, 72 hours or so) and then stop, there is no need to take more opiates if your withdrawls are over. i use suboxone to strictly get off heroin, and have no withdrawls from it. i dont know about using it for a year or whatever, so i cant talk about that. but i dont see why anyone would use suboxone for so long, because i just use it for a week tops to get off dope, then there is no physical need for any opiates. everyone is different, and i do believe suboxone is one of the best things invented. true, you are substituting one opiate for another, but instead of needing a shot of heroin every 6-8 hours i just take one or two 8 mg suboxone and i am good for 24 hrs. like i said, i dont do h, wake up next morning, take suboxone, for about 4 days to 5-6 max, then i dont wake up sick, i stop taking suboxone, there is no need for more than that. i just dont see the point in taking suboxone for years at a time, then, yes, sub withdrawls may just be worst than methadone or h. i dont know...

you can vomit from any type of opiate use. i'm going to assume it was an 8mg pill, and you took half of it which is 4mg. with no tolerance that's quite a bit. also, snorting (railing) is much more efficient.

Suboxone is a miracle drug.. I had used terrible opiate pharms for years until I came across this.. It can get you off of some really bad stuff and the withdrawals are not as violent. You can ween yourself off of this drug and all drugs - it actually works unlike methadone and other "substitute" narcotics..

This drug is not like other opiates... In my experience, half of the orange 6 sided pill feels the exact same as the whole pill, and 2 whole ones would be pointless.. Just like any opioid, if you have a weak stomach, or do not eat properly before consumption, it could make you feel ill..

It can of course become addicting, but I recommend it to anyone trying to get off of harder and more harmful drugs.

what are these better alternatives you speak of? you kill cells in your brain going through physical withdrawls. its horrible for your body. the safest thing to do is take suboxone for a week to get over physical symptoms and then stop taking suboxone you will have no withdrawls from suboxone unless you take it everyday for a year or something.

If you're making a reference to me being an idiot you should retire your membership from this forum. I've done more drugs than you have fingers and toes combined, I know about quite a few drugs, their chemistry, their laws, and their withdrawls, along with detection times and ways to clear yourself from them, so I would consider myself rather well versed. Let's see if you are also, or do you just partake in name calling?

I didn't say sitting it out was a good alternative, nor do I believe that. I didn't say that buprenorphine isn't a good way to get off of them! It's much better than the million-step "methadone treatment", that shit just tends to make people addicted to methadone instead!

And as to idiots never going through withdrawl.. I was an alcoholic for 2 and a half years (mind you, alcohol is the ONLY DRUG THAT CAN CAUSE A LETHAL WITHDRAWL) so don't give me your shit. I didn't take any fucking drugs for it, nor did I go to any counceling or drug rehabilitation for it (which I am not speaking against, I believe if pharmaceuticals and/or counseling can assist your habit go for it!). Not to mention going through months of morphine/hydromorphone/hydrocodone/oxycodone use, once again, quitting cold turkey.

Now, my initial idea, which is a better alternative.. unfortunately has more-so limited studies to back it up (so you can disagree if you like). It is also a Schedule I substance in the United States.

Ibogaine HCl, derived from the Iboga root (Tabernanthe iboga), from what I have heard it works miracles and takes less time to kill a withdrawl.

I look forward to hearing from you, stephen94, in around a week when (or if) you can come up with an intelligent and scientifically supported response. If you have stupid flaming and more names to call at me, then don't bother.
