I was vegging under a standard 400W HPS lamp. I recently purchased a 5000K metal halide conversion bulb and started usnig that for vegging. Under the new light it seems the plants have more stretch - the internode spacing has increased and the plants don't seem as bushy.
Im wondering if this has something to do with the spectrum of the new light or is this normal? I did read something about photosynthisis absorbtion is greatest above 5500k. The HPS was 45, 000 lumens while the MH is 36, 000. Is that the issue? Should I just go back to the HPS?
Thanks!!
