what did you do for the mag deficiency 1982? and is 220 ppm okay?

wannabee. just saw the pics. they wernt up yet. lol. thats a mag def. just get the res ph to 5.6 and youll fix that prob in 2 days. those hairs are actually not pistals. males and females will get those. it is normal. but since i watched the beggining of my grow closel i do believe that is a female. the males would have really started their stretch by then. so i do think female. but you will not see pistals for another weak. looks great though. exactly how it should. by that size i was full out nuting them and they loved it. try lowering the ph just a bit and adding more ppms if you are not at manufacturers suggested. 5.6 really allows mag to be absorbed. after staying at 5.6 for even 12 hours you could let it rise a bit to cover the uptake phs of other chemicals. but not above 6.1. good luck. and if you have enough plants there seems to be a rare pheno that is really nice. i have 1 plant thats on the smaller size and is outbudding all other plants. its resin is like white widow. its already like a small bat. the rest have no crstals yet. small or big plants included. the other reason i know its a strong plant is because it is on the side that hasnt ot the hps on it for 12 hours. so it must be really strong genes in that 1. but only 1 out of 7 is like it. i'll take pics tomorrow. looking great. keep u posted.
and the brown spots are mostly on the bottom older growth right? not so much the new growth right?

yes, they are on the older leaves, everything else looks great on that one. can you get ph meters at home depot? gotta get one quick.

wannabee. you could buy a metre but now you know the reason for that prob anyways. after your 10th grow you will be able to basically eye everything and make adjustments right away. i do use the strips to get a ballpark figure but i feel the slight differences between diff parts of the strip allows for the plant to get slight variations in ph. it works out good i find. after everything has gone wrong with your plants over the course of a few grows you will know what they want. lol. i was going to invest in it. if i find a thread with some monster crazy plants maybe itll convince me but mine seem to always look roughly the same. i'm the less is more type. lol. when it comes to measuring ppms i dont. i put as much as possible until i see the slightest signs of stress then add straight water to the res at whatever i feel will do the trick and the plants grow nice. and you know they are geting the most nutes possible. my ppms are prob around 1500 literally. i start them off on nutes as soon as they sprout and get to full strength in the first week. if you do this step at the beginning it will allow your plants to be very nute burn resilient. and therefore easier to care for and bigger in the long run.
but youll esilly fix your mag def. plus its more of a visual thing and doesnt so much reflect the overall growth of the plant. its a less important def unless it gets worse. seeya

ok , today i put change water in my reservoir ...ph 5.8 , ppm 358...now looks like the thinks are on track now....thanks guys...by the way hashlover, i will change my water next week and how much should i go up with my ppm? and should i put the same amount of ml of micro, grow, bloom?
like i said before this is my clones after 7 days ....
now i have to build up one DWC reservoir style to put my clones for vege for couple of weeks and stick into the hydroton to flowering...

ray. up the ppms over the course of the next week to full strength but not in 1 day. get them used to the strong nutes early. but i dont understand why some people put ppms at a few hundred and others over 1000? different metres? diff nutes? i am sure mine are over 1100 ppms. i think? but i see some with 1500 ppms. dont know why. dont tell me to buy a metre!!!!!! my plants visual appearance tells me everything they need. lol they talk to me through their leaves and roots and especially their buds lol

i hear you 1982, make sense what you say...but im just learning all this process...but im planing not to use meter as well, down on the road, off course. sounds good i will add more nutes every day...thanks man. by the way do you think its a good idea build a DWC reservoir for my clones vege before puting into the hydrotons? i could put my clone into RW and vege...but i don't want deal with RW, because i don't want deal with the ph once i put the clone into my ebb table.

it sounds fine. i never noticed any ph probs with rockwool. i rinse mine in warm water for about an hour. but your idea sounds perfectly fine. never done it though. ive only done dwc and ebb and flow. never used the hydroton stuff. somebody here prob has. i think wannabee uses it. works fine. i say go for it. seeya post some pics to.

Hey guys me again, im on vacation and about to come back and i talked to an old head down here who reccomends i change my auto wr to an 18/6 light instead of 20/4. What do you think is best also if i should start them on the 1/3 bulbs should i place the 1x6500 on the inner of the 4 lights or does it matter.

id centre the odd bulb. 18/6 is supposed to be right but mine have been on 24/7 for the first month then i got a timer and do 18/6. i notice no difference. except less power. my dark period is nowhere near dark. if i noticed a prob i would switch but they are budding great anyways so i dont even think about it. i just do 18/6 to save the heat and power. let us know

so i smelled my lowryders and man are they the nicest smelling plants ive ever smelled. not skunky yet at all. the smell is sweet and citrusy. its really nice. i had never smelled them before and decided to now when i noticed the trichs really starting to form. the large 2 plants are not quite as far along yet but look like theyll get huge buds. the medium 1 with the crazy genes is going strong and is still far aead of the rest in yield and resin so far and still on the opposite side to the hpss. hopefully only 3 more weeks. and i'm pissed because my large plants arent even that cloudy yet and i dont want to pick any more until most of the trichs are amber. literally prob 2 more weeks. sucks. maybe 3
