The main thing you will probably need to watch over a hot summer is moisture -- making sure your soil doesn't get too dry. Outside of that, ppl forget that MJ comes from really hot places.. 90-100 is no big deal.

A key thing for that brutal of a summer is strain selection -- personally, if I were in the market for outdoor seeds, I'd check out Mandala seeds. They have a great rep, and continually work in the original land race (ie. original toughness) genetics into their strains. I haven't bought from them personally, but their rep on RIU is pretty air-tight. And if their site info is bullshit, it's some really well-thought out and well-written bullshit.

A lot of indoor strains are heavily inbred, and have a lot of their natural toughness removed thru breeding. They likely won't survive the move from indoor to outdoor, or super high temps..

Good luck..:blsmoke:

Yeah... give 'em a rip. There's no hotter summer than Afghanistan..

I'm putting a couple of bubblelicious outside in another week. They just popped the soil. Bubs is indoor all the way, but what the hell...

Awesome...l've got my bubs under CFL indoors right now. They're just above the soil... I'm curious to see how they handle the transfer outdoors in about a week.

I live in central Cali too. I just watch the moisture lke Kriegs said, and look for drooping if it's especially hot and you haven't watered for a couple days. Usually after I water a little, they perk right up.

you been watching too much dallas?
Ha!! That's actually from the Simpson's - I vaguely recall... some business about a mysterious gunshot and the solution to the mystery turns out to be that Lisa shot the one-legged bearded senior in his wooden leg. She goes to apologize and that's his response.. (never knew he was hit..). TMI.. I know..

I would suggest if you are using pots during this hot time of a year, to bury them into the ground so the root's don't get fucked cause the soil is so hot it burns them. My clones are hittin the soil next weekend :) I seriously can not stop thinking about it all day!
