Thin stems, advice ASAP!!!!!!!!!!

Got four lankey little bastards in my closet. They're about two weeks old now. I was away for about a week and had my girlfriend look after them, light was too far and they streched out like hell. They about 5 inches tall and the stems look like f***ing tooth picks.
I have the lights closer now and have my small fan on them. I want to know if I can do anything else though to get those damn stems thick. I am considering moving them to bigger pots (They are in plantable pots now) and filling the dirt up half way of the stems. Any advice, I need some help right away!

You can bury the stem up to an inch below the botom leaves and put the lights closer.
If you have some rooting/cloning gel you can also apply that to the stems that you cover with soil.

Can't get picks today, earliest by monday. Pots are one gals, three sets of leaves, 4 100 watt spot-grow lights, 2 42 watt cfls. Cfls are about 3 inches away, 100watters about 6 ( Very low heat, reason I bought them)

Thanks mate, I do have some rooting gel. When I get up in the morning I'll try that, hopefully it works. It's been stressin' me for two days straight now.

u can also manually work the stems by bending one way then back the other a few times every few days.

its like excercise for ur plant.
