allllright, this is going to be my third grow and i'm getting serious... i got a 1000 watt agrostar HPS/MH conversion bult (cooltube 8 reflector) lots of ducting, a co2 tank/regulator/tubing... lots of different genetics, thinking i'm going to start g13 haze and nirvana's PPP...... couple questions, my closet is 3W 6 L 9 H... How many should i grow at a time? 4 maybe 5?

i'm going to be cooling my lights directly, if i introduce co2 to my airtight closet, will i need to exaust if my temps are okay? or can i just let the plants bask in co2...

Should i buy a co2 monitor? or play the guessing game (first time c02 user) got a 20lb tank....'

CLONING QUESTION: i'm using soil.... can i clone in rockwool still? or am i better off using soil... anyone use the peat pellets?

any advice would be greatly appreciated... thanks!!

You've got a good sized area to fit 6 very healthy plants in there, you might be able to squeeze 8.

Your closet will have to be exhausted anyways, even if you were'nt using Co2.
But if your gonna use Co2, your gonna want your fans and exhaust to shut off when the Co2 is on.
Yes, a Co2 meter is necessary. I bought my Co2 meter from SenseLife, I think I paid like $180 or something.

You can still use rockwool to clone. I grow in soil also and I use Jiffy peat pellets. They work great.

i would always have a co2 monitor if i was running co2

guessing is just too much work and just wasteful. if ya gonna do it...do it right damnit!

and i use aero cloning....and i also use rapidrooters in prop trays.

thank youuu, +1 rep bongjuice... should i maintain a constant intake/exaust? and then turn off when in introduce co2?
Also, should i try to maintain my flowering room at 1500 ppm all the time? or just run my co2 a few times a day when the lights are on? new to using... any advice would be appreciated

Yes, a constant flow of fresh air coming into your grow area is absolutely necessary.
Once your Co2 regulator turns on and starts pumping the Co2 into your grow area, All your fans should shut off. The Co2 should only go on for about 15 minutes every hour just when the lights are on.
You can purchase a relay to make the fans shut off when the Co2 comes on.
1200-1500 Ppm's is sufficient just don't go above 1800.
Getting started with using Co2 can be quite costly, but the benefits of using it pays itself off with the first few crops.

My cost for using Co2:
Tank $110
Regulator $175
Lines $10
Co2 meter $180
Relay $230

Just over $700.

oooookay, so i bought a 20lb co2 tank, a regulator, and tubing.... will this be sufficient for this grow until i get more loot together? is the meter and relay extremely important? Can anyone also explain to me how to use the tank/regulator to help me get a better understanding of what everything does... any advice is also greatly appreciated

also, while introducing co2, i know to turn off my exaust... how long should i leave it off for? since i'm adding co2, can i run exaust fewer times throughout the day?
