leaves bending up

I am growing nirvana ppp under a 400 watt hps.I have a week old seedling with the leaves bending up towards the light.Sort of folding in on itself.i have searched the site and cannot find my answer.So i leave it in your hands.Please help

Its probably a good five feet from the light.Its not the actual stem that is stretching.Its the tip of the leaves.I am very new to this and have very much to learn.I try to keep the light as far away because it gets pretty hot.Im growing in a closet at a pretty consistent 74-76 degrees F during light hours.I have been spraying the leaves once a day with distilled water.If any of that helps any

some pics would help.
5 feet from the lamp is far too far away bring it down to 15"-18" from the canopy and work from there lowering it when you get a feel for the plants requirements.
