I keep a small liberal democrat in my basement that I make work for food. Is that on the list? I'd hate to give him up...he's up to 2 hours of work a day without feinting or threatening me about his civil liberties... I think he's from Connecticut too...that's a coincidence.

thats legit man..i had a very illeagle fish about six months ago (a south american red snakehead) then i found out i can get 10 to 15 in the county penn for having it...my god snakeheads are mean as all hell,i put a rat in the tank once and i thought i would never get the filters clear of all the blood..it was 4 ft long when i finally released it into a river ( i know i am killing that rivers population but i couldnt it kill it i just didnt have the heart,plus it probably would have killed me)

The bill names THESE animals as those to be considered potentially dangerous. By strict wording of the section, any animal or breed thereof not specifically named herein would not be subject to this law. Don't get all worked up about your dogs and cats, fish, birds, etc. They have nothing to do with this legislation. IMHO if you own anything listed above as a PET, maybe YOU should be confiscated and destroyed. Smarten up people.

There you go, straight from the link. Your pets will not become illegal. This bill is simply the govt. attempting to protect those of us who are a bit brighter from those who don't think. It's a shame, and I fully agree that the fed is bloated and oppressive, just as Texas believes; but the fact still remains that way too many people think it would be "cool" to have ownership of some wild animal, purchase one and then realize they can't care for these animals properly. Florida is FULL of non-native species that crowd out the natural wildlife. This wouldn't be an issue if "pet" owners took more responsibility for their own actions. Hell, I'd agree that anyone who realizes they can't care for their dog or cat and releases them into the wild should be fined as well. But this sort of thing happens in all walks of life, in every society. The stupidity of a few requires the legislating of the whole. MJ is the same way, it would be a much easier fight to legalize if the real criminals weren't out there giving our wonderful plant such a bad image. If you buy from a gang member or the like, it's your fault it's illegal. If you exact revenge on someone who owes you a few dollars from a purchase, it's your fault. If you pinch from others bags and not give them what they're paying for, it's your fault. If you drive high, it's your fault. If getting high interferes with your ability to contribute to society, it's your fault. Mine never crosses my doorstep, and neither do I for the rest of the evening after I've smoked. Rather than get all up in arms about the govt needing to legislate environmental protection, live responsibly yourself and pressure those around you to do the same. For those who are true enthusiasts of wildlife, and take proper care of your imports, I do feel for you, however there is far more idiocracy in the USA than brilliance. And so the story repeats itself over and over......​
