if you have the best soil, the best nutes, the most intense lights, and the best hydro set up. all that doesnt mean jack shit if you are growing seeds from a bag of mid grade ganja....it is all in the seed. good seeds in good conditions grows good ganja....shitty seeds in the worlds best conditions are still gonna grow shitty weed. yeah it may be a little better cause it aint in a gorrilla grow somewhere where you cant watch it every day, but it will still be crappy weed.....another thing with bag seeds is that a lot are seeded because the plant hermid and pollenated itself. hermis seeds creat a lot more hermis than usual....seriously it is soooooooo important to get good seeds....

i agree 100% but my homegrown bagseed comes out pretty damn good. passes off as haze. if i could buy seeds i would, but no way to get them. the only downside with bagseed is that you may have a good plant in veg, but when flower they may only produce little popcorn buds. this plant on the other hand wasnt.

well i can explain supercropping. the better technique to use is LST(low stress training). you begin tying the plant down so the devoloping nodes grow up and the stem grows horizontally. which produces many tops and an even canapoy if done correctly. instead of little popcorn nugs you end up with all nice buds. just keep the plant bent on its side and your new nodes will grow upwards. there are many different ways to do it. SCROG, is weaving the plant in and out of some sort of frame (chicken wire, fencing,...)its basically up to how ever you want to grow the plant. molasses ihave no clue about. if you want this better explained pm me

heres some cropping and lst together...it works great but you will be trading off big big buds for many smaller buds when you tie down.
i tied down a super skunk plant so the branches were completely laid out flat. and i was kinda dissapointed , only because it grew many many many smaller nugs as apposed to real thick long nugs..i personally like when the nugs grow strait up and compress into each other. the reason i tied down was so id get more light penetration, but i decided i was better off just buying a couple 100 watt hps lamps for side light. i also threw in a few 4 ft t8s to get full penetration, of light that is.

i read this here in riu & on the web a lot & have a difficult time believing it. i'm beginning to think this is a cannabis old wives' tale that is past down & perpetuated through ignorance (no offense).

you can surely potentiate the bud by making more trichomes - the holy grail of ganja - under uvb light (sun or reptilights), you can also potentiate the bud by better curing practices & i'm willing to bet there are several precursors to thc just like there are several precursors to potentiate the active alkaloids/compounds of entheogenic cacti & fungi

just a thought.

im sorry x15 but no matter how optimum the conditions you have shitty genetics are going to stay shitty genetics, its scientific fact not a wives tale... granted you could make swag look a lot better than the way it comes on the street, but mexicanswag with a 7 % tch content is still gonna be mexican swag with a 7 % thce content.... yeah itll look and taste better , itll even smoke better, sensimilia also, but itll still ne mexican swag.

ahh smooth excuse to get out of a mistake but yes this will work i do it some times but flushing means to use only watter to watter ur plants no nutes the last 3 weeks so there is no chemical build up in ur buds or els it will taste like salt

Trust me, what jordisgarden is saying is true. I will agree that RIU and similar forums do perpetuate a lot of BS but this particular piece of info is not an old wives' tale. There is only so much you can do within the genetic limitations. I'm not knocking bagseed grows or anything like that but I believe genetics is actually more important than it is made out to be. If you are doing anything other than growing a plant for the first time "just to see if you can do it" then I strongly recommend doing whatever you can to get the best genetics available.

i was thinking along the lines of adding/loading a precursor to thc in the soil, for example, like adding Tryptamine HCL (a psilocin and psilocybin precursor) to mushroom substrates which potentiates them. or, another example, like adding certain minerals to cacti to potentiate mescaline.

my thinking is there has to be a precursor to thc production which could do the same thing as described above, so, a lame but healthy plant (low thc) could be made to produce greater thc levels since it would be used as a factory to convert the precursor loads into thc which was added to the soil/water
