If you have one, what make and model is it? I read that when cloning if you run your timer 1 minute on and 5 minutes off it will allow the plant more oxygen. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

good luck finding this!! it will have to be digital for sure. i'm a little confuse about what you're asking............what do you want to turn on for 1 min and off 5 min??? light or air? it it's light i would think it's waaaaaaaaay too little light for the clones. and i don't always put air in my cloning tray so that time frequency should be ok for air.

Look for C.A.P timers. They run about 75-100 bucks but you have to have this in order to run a close system. I have also read that you can do 15 min on 15 mins off. But remember it needs to be a recycle timer.

yea the timer will help. the dry period will give your plants oxygen and help the roots get bigger, stronger, and longer. its better than just running it 24 hours. LOL brothafromanothaplanet if you put your lights on a timer like that your plants will become freaks of nature (in a bad way)

I too, Am switching both of my Aerocloners to 1 on - 4/5 off. Depends on the timer I decide to pick-up. I can't imagine yhat the pumps use to much elect. but, I bet the timers pay for themselves in no time. Not to mention the better clones.

Well considering that you can hook up 15 amps worth of pumps or fans on one timer. Invest the extra 20 bucks for a DNR-1 which lets you set the time from 1sec-60 mins on and 1 min to 12 hours off. This is a must for anyone that has to have a set off on time.

There honestly is not cheap way around getting a timer

yeah. the timer is awesome. i have one for an aeroponics set up someone gave to me sorta secondhand, new but never used it . they thought hydro ws a good idea but now they travel for work and are never home to care for anything. .this system is a beast ! the timer is from c.a.p , the model number is NFT-1. it is a recycling timer that runs 1 minute -on, 4 minutes- off. . it is 120 vac and 15 amp as well. hope that helps you out somewhat. if you google the make, model, they'll have prices there im sure. .

good luck
