I read yesterday that one guy was subjected to waterboarding 266 times.... this not tirture....

Yes, and what that tells me is it is more psychological than physical. In the end any serious interrogation technique is all about breaking the mind or will, not the body. that's what makes waterboarding so effective.
Don't worry though, I have it on good authority that Al Queda does NOT use water boarding....phew!!!! That's a relief huh?

Uhh, while the Japanese were executed none were put to death for JUST water boarding, their crimes were far more heinous, although these same people did utilize water boarding. There is a difference. Now should we execute the training personnel that give water boarding as a training exercise to our own troops? It's a slippery slope.
Further we gather about half of our intelligence from captive prisoners....so now what? Just ask them politely to cough it up? What's the alternative? No intel gathering from prisoners? Water boarding is physically harmless.

Rumsfeld and others that Pentagon policies played no role in harsh treatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq or other military facilities.
The report showed that Mr. Rumsfelds authorization was cited by a United States military special-operations lawyer in Afghanistan as an analogy and basis for use of these techniques, and that, in February 2003, a special-operations unit in Iraq obtained a copy of the policy from Afghanistan that included aggressive techniques, changed the letterhead, and adopted the policy verbatim.
Months later, the report said, the interrogation officer in charge at Abu Ghraib obtained a copy of that policy and submitted it, virtually unchanged, through her chain of command. This ultimately led to authorization by Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez of the use of stress positions, sleep management and military dogs to exploit detainees fears, the report said.
The paper trail on abuse leads to top civilian leaders, and our report connects the dots, Senator Carl Levin, Democrat of Michigan, the chairman of the Armed Services Committee, said on Tuesday in a conference call with reporters. Lets prosecute bush for torturing people and saving lives?....Do you not remember 911. I remember it vividly, al quada promised that another attack was immanent. Bush made sure it didn't happen on his watch and I applauded him and even joined the marines soon after. I am proud to say that I served in Iraq and ya innocent people died and Im sure innocent people were tortured. That is what happens when you go to war, at least if you want to win. I guess every generation has its passive ungrateful pussys. Its a good thing that America has had patriotic men step up to the plate when needed or America would not be as it is today, the greatest nation in world.
