Ive been reading up on threads here for awhile and grabbing bits of info for my own project. I have a a 5' 6'' deep, 6' 6'' wide, and 8' tall closet. I have a nice attic space above the closet for the fan.

Materials I have:

400w HPS lamp

600 CFM fan w/ 10'' ducting

14''x24'' filter box (pulling cool air from under my house)

3'x4' grow tray with a fitted water tray underneath

water pump

2 timers with 2 plugs per

white plastic for walls, floor, and ceiling

My fan ducting is mounted directly above my fan housing and i have holes in the housing to pull hot air from around the bulb. The cool air intake is at the base of the wall. I hope my filter is good enough to clean the air thoroughly, since it is coming from under my house. I plan on using the same bulb for veg and flower.
This is my first indoor grow so all suggestions are welcome and encouraged. Thanks, Ill post pics when I get my babies in there.

Looks good so far, youre on the right track bro.
I would strongly recommend monitoring the PH of your water. You dont have to go out and get a fancy digital PH pen or anything, but I would say atleast use a cheap chemical test solution. They are inexpensive and still pretty accurate.
Good luck, happy growing.

I've got to invest in a temp/humidity monitor along with the ph tester. I've got a "mentor" of sorts in my area, and they donated 6 LA Confidential babies to me. I will post pics later tonight after I setup my timers and water. Thanks again for the help and info on this site.

I changed my mind on the lighting, I'm using flos for my veg and im sticking with 24 hour light right now. I'm watering from the top 3 times a day for 15 minutes at a time. I have some homemade nutes from a friend. I'm shooting for buds in my bong bongsmilie in 9+ weeks. Im going to try to stick to updating once a week. I'm only using half the available space in the closet, so if things go well I will buy another tray.

If you have any input (bad or good) please let me know. Thanks.

Your LA Confidential is looking real nice. Good luck with the grow bro.
I dont think you will have bud in your bong in 9 weeks though. Especially if you havent even started flowering yet. It will take a little while longer than that for some really nice dense buds!! And after that you still have to dry and start curring before you get that really nice taste!!Patience is a virtue my friend!
Happy growing

Looking good. Are you planning on doing a journal? You should post a new thread in the journal section and make it official. I think doing a journal is the best way to get help if a problem does arrive. And hopefully it will prevent any problems too

remember if you sog 6 you get 6 ounces. If you grow 6 trees you can get pounds! Most medical have figured out trees are the way to go. Trees in 7 gallon pots, and organic soil. I started out with 6 in an ebb and just switched a few months ago to trees in soil. GL regardless, and yeah, ph will get you if you are not careful. That and over nuting. I was in rockwool too, lol.

My "mentor" said 9 weeks, but his setup is epic, and mine isn't. Ill turn that 400w on too. Is the bulb going too to be too weak for 2 grows?

Do you mean veg the crap out of them, until they are huge?

Im noticing my leaves are starting to droop. Im going to assume its from overwatering, so took my pump down to 2 mins of run time 3 times a day. My drip lines aren't throwing mass amounts of water amount, just a thin steady stream. I have 8 CFLs and a 400w HPS running 24/0. Does this sound about right to you guys?

how long does it take to come back from over watering?
They should come back pretty quickly. One day or two at the most I think, however I am unfamiliar with the drip method. I use soil because of its simplicity.

Can anyone give me some tips on proper manicuring. Im just looking for a higher yield. Im going to try fimming before flowering.
It may be a little early for pruning. I dont recommend pruning unless your plants are so big that the lower branches do not receive any light. And even then the grow bible says not to remove anything that isnt dead or dying. Check out Dirtbags thread called pornfolio... He lollipops his giant trees.... Very nice journal he has over there.

Yes, bigger pots, longer veg time = trees:weed:

I use the same bulb for a long long time. They do lose some of their brightness after a while, but I havent had a problem. I buy a new one once a year, sometimes longer.
Good luck man, happy growing

well I hope I haven't gone and screwed my plants. I just got done talkng to a friend and they said I should cut off the large water leaves, because they are wasting water and plant energy.
So i just went and cut them off (see pics below) then signed on and read your response about NOT pruning them yet...you live and learn i guess.

Hey dude Im a little confused... I went back and re-read your thread, I have a question/
Were those clones already rooted when you got them? or were they cut the same day you got them?
Because if they have not rooted then I would turn that water off. And yes those large fan leafs do suck up water so cutting them is a good idea. But that should have been done when you first received the clones. You want the rockwool to stay damp, but not overwatered. Pick up the rockwool cubes and shake the excess water out of them.
If they have rooted by now, then Id give it some time and see what happens. They look pretty good

yeah they were well rooted when i got them. the only real growth i was noticing was in the water leaves. i have shut off the water for the day, because the rockwool was pretty heavy. Im sure the water in the rockwool will suffice for a day, and tomorrow ill see what they feel like.

I really appreciate the intel, thanks alot.
