im so happy with how the metal halide works for grow and despite what people say i would like to try and flower with it.has any one grown with a hps and halide side by side? because seems like alot of people havent tryed it and are just going off what others are telling them. ive even thought about running the halide in the 12/12 until the last two weeks then put the hps in.the main question is the speed of flowering with the halide.amd if any one has grown hps and halide side by side to truley see the pros and cons

Metal halide will flower plants nicelt just search around, there are a lot of people that have flowered with halide. As fr as switching them you actually want to do it the opposite, start with HPS then Halide the last 2 weeks. The halide is supposed to tighten the buds up more than hps but they just arent as big. The people that use them seem to be very happy.
thanks man, that makes sense. ive been reading so much on this. i just dont want to be dissapointed with a crop, i now use hps for flowering but my strains have never been happier than under a 600 halide im not a commercial gardner but my time window for flowering is small(1 cycle a year) and i dont want to lose too much yeild but if its an even trade for quality than its done.
im a man of simplicity and if i can eliminate things that arent completely necessary i will do it! as long as im not taking anything away from my girlys.all the stuff people sell and talk about just makes things more of a nightmare. i like good soil no hydro here, and im slowley starting to get rid of nutreints but that is scarey for me because i started with advanced and saw amazing results. i would like to get it down to guano, molassis and voodoo juice. any thoughts?
