well i have a new vertical concept that i want to try out, so i will probably build one on a smaller scale and tweak it.. i want to build it out of pvc pipe and run aero misters.. also totally enclosed, but so all 4 sides of the bulb have plants, as opposed to 3 sides.
however, these verticals are pretty bulky, and in a renting situation, its not really feasible to have any on a large scale (although i did) so i will probably go back to an ebb n flow flat setup, as they can be broken down and moved in a couple hours or less.
i will build the smaller aero setup, probably suited for a single 600 to see how well it works, and ill post up some designs and pics.. something that can be broken down and moved easily..
but the main problems with the current setup, are that the drains are not quite angled up enough, so there tends to be standing water in some of the corners, also because it is set up with right angles, the corners tend to lose out on some light, so it is not totally efficient.. and lastly each bulb only has 3 sides with plants.. 4 sides would be most logical to take advantage of a vertical setup. i would also probably add in another shelf, and move them closer together, so that i could flower from clones instead of a couple week veg period.
however, even when done right, with a single strain, this setup can easily pull 5-6 lbs without any tweaking..
