"grow tent" or the "darkroom"?? which is best?

so im looking into the possibility of buying a pre-built growroom..... like the title says, out of the two major brands, which one is better?? or rather what is your experience with whichever you chose?

Depends on the climate you live in. Tents get hot so if you live in cold climates they work great. The other prob with tents is that there isnt any easy way of mounting fans or hiding ballasts, takes a bit of improv to get it all ticking along.

louisiana... nowhere near a cool climate.... but i am going to be setting up in the attic.... gonna be pulling cool air in from the room below which has an ac running all of the time.... dumping my exhaust directly into my EXTREMELY well ventilated attic.

as for the improv, im fine with that... have some plans for the fans and ballasts already

either way, Secret Jardin is the best tent hands down

dont know if that is the name or not..... its the line of tents that htgsupply carries... if that helps at all.... any help is appreciated, we're ordering some things this evening.... see yall after my fucked up work day:evil:

I built my own room and about to tear it down in favor of a tent. I'm very happy with the quality and cost was way less than others I have seen. I maybe spent a little less to build a room but man the headaches, I should have done this in the first place.

I have the 39x39 tent from HTG. It is a good tent, but when compared to my friend's Dark Room, it seems cheap.

definately goin with the darkroom now... ordering it from thebigtomato.com, and i will be receiving a 25% discount, making the darkroom about the same price as the cheaper one on htg.:hump:.... ordering most of my stuff next thursday... will definately update to show what i got

Have you determined what the difference is with the (w) and the non (w) models? I have been reading that there was a "Street" version which you do not want, and i cant tell from the web site which ones are "street" From what I understand they have made some upgrades to the newest tents, the old ones people say stay away from. Also not sure if the DR80 is the old or new or street.

Have you ordered from this company before?

Different brands: Home Box, (HTG Supply) Grow Tent, Secret Jardin (Dark Room)?? I cant tell if the HTG Supply is a Home Box..??
