3'x3' closet grow, 3 plants, can it yield 12oz?

I need to meet a quota of 12oz every 6 months, or 2oz per month.

My closet area is 3'x3' with 30inches of plant height. I plan to do LST on 3 female plants from feminized seeds. As for strains, Iam looking at PPP, master kush or AK48. 400watt mh for veg, and 400watt hps for flowering.

Iam not a pro, so all things being equal would it fairly be easy for this setup to yield 10-12oz every 5-6 months?

Do you think I can fit 4 plants inside a 3'x3' area?

Why not try a Sea of Green grow with Top 44?

There was a member on here recently that finished a Top 44 plant on here in 8 weeks on 12/12 from start to finish. That is REALLY fast!

8 weeks from start to finish as in from seed to flowering? are those auto flowering? If it is then it would be my second option, but my first option is to yield 12 oz every 5-6months from 3 plants, maybe 4 plants if I need to squeeze it in.

I remember seeing on this site somewhere, where someone had 10 oz. from a single plant. It was grown with 4 main colas, and I don't know/remember his lights, nutes, soil, etc.

But it's entirely possible, yes. IMO, you might have better results with 2 plants?

I'de go with the SOG recommendation - 4 oz plants are pretty big - really doubt you'll be able to cram 3 of them into a 3x3 area and still have decent light coverage on the buds. I grow in a 3x2 area and have been having great success with more smaller plants. First grow was with 6 plants flowered early and yielded me about a zip each in 2.5 months. if you want to do a long veg perhaps try a scrog. Best of luck!

8 weeks from seed to harvest.

It's all about the way you grow the plants and what tendencies the strain you choose has. I have not grown any of the strains you are thinking about but since you only have 30" of vertical grow room then you need to choose a short growing strain.

And to make the most out of the available space you have then it would be a good idea to use the Sea of Grean (SOG) technique. You want to pack a bunch of plants in a small area and only allow them to grow a main cola. So you could probably fit 15- 20 plants in a 3' x 3' using 1 gallon containers and they should stay below 30".

If you try to grow 4 plants traditionally in a space that short then you run the risk of outgrowing it.

So, if you use the SOG technique then you could possibly harvest a good 5-6 ounces every 2- 2 1/2 months, and that would fill your quota.

You are talking about the Uncle Ben's topping method.

That is a kickass way to grw but that technique requires a lot of veg time and the plants would get way too big for his 30" of available grow height.

with my current setup I am using 400 watt bulbs. Now I have heard of people aiminf for 1gram for 1 wattage. So if I up the bulbs to 600 watts, would it be easier for me to get 12 oz out of 3-4 plants?

I don't think going up to a 600 watt light is going to make the dramatic jump you are looking for.

Like I said, your space is small so you need to find the right growing technique. More watts are usually better but a 400 watter should do you just fine in that space.

A 600 watt light is better because it has deeper light penetration than a 400 but if you can't get the plants tall because of the lack of vertical space then you won't be able to take advantage of it. Also, it is going to run hotter and unless you have a vented reflector and great all around ventilation then it could cause more problems.

hey down on wax, would building a seperate veg closet/area help me meet my quota of 2 oz per month?

Flowering usally takes 2 months, so as Iam flowering 2 plants in my 3'x3' area Iam also preparing the LST veg for another 2 plants. This way every 2 months I finish flowering a batch I can send in the next batch of 2 plants. As long as each 2 plant batch can yield me close to 4oz, I should be able to meet my quota?

I plan to grow from just feminized seeds so I would rather limit the mount of seeds I would have to buy due to the sea of green method.

Iam a noob, so my gram to wattage ratio will be pretty low. So if I cant hit 1 gram per 1 wattage. I should be able to hit .30 gram for every 1 wattage. So if 0.3 gram x 400 watts = 120 grams, so every 2 months I should be able to obtain 120 grams/4.2 oz.

bam i would deffinently check out all of randy shit great stuff and for what u are looking for 12-12 from clone seems to me ur best option. with 12 square feet yould could pack 24 half oz yield or more. now that would be plently of bud u just need a home for a couple of moms. and ur in business.

or just go 12-12 from seed. but then u got make or buy alota seeds. but its roughly 8-9 weeks and u should get same yield as clones. strain idea for you would be auroa indica from nirvana at attitude seeds.
