Eddie G,
that's nice light bar you have there
and i was going to do something like that until i found this 100 watt light
but maybe i need to clarify my main reason for making this thread...
nitroman said this:
"""the only think im looking at is that it only has 10,900 lumens and a single cfl that runs cool has 1700 or better so you could get the same amount of light with say 6 or 7 small cfls and could place them more strategicaly"""
i was reading about light intensities, i forget where but basically it said this:
light 1 has 100 lumens
light 2 has 100 lumens
your plants are NOT getting the intensity of 200 lumens
they are ONLY getting the intensity of 100 lumens from 2 different sources
i have no indoor grows under my belt
but from everything that i have read, intensity is the name of the game for indoor grows
[well, other than spectrum, but that's another conversation]
the more intense a light is, the better it will penetrate the canopy of your grow
i don't think i'm wrong for thinking this is a superior light
but if i am somebody jump in and tell me
i just wanted to find out why people weren't using this thing
maybe not many people knew they were available
this light by far beats the intensity of all the lights i have been seeing in the grow journals and i was surprised that other people weren't using ones like it
i built a little setup like that.. with the Y splitters they can power 12 lights.. but right now since im still vegging im only powering 8 plants... they are all conected together and i only need 1 plug to power all of them, i got a timer and it works good.. check it out..
