Second attempt at growing, need pointers

im just trying to see if im going in the right direction

i have one plant at the moment in my room in a cabinet about 1 1/2 feet high, 1 1/2 feet deep, and 2 1/2 feet wide.
Ive been using FoxFarm Ocean Forest soil for about half a week now, transplanted my plant from miracle gro (which sucks).
It has been growing for about 2 weeks now and has two pairs of branches right now and another pair is sprouting right now.
I have a fan facing my plant and its set to simulate wind patterns, i am also playing classical music all day in the grow room.
i had early bug problems but my mom (lol growing advice from my mom) told me to boil cayenne pepper in water and then drain with a coffee filter and use it to spray on the leaves and it got rid of the bugs.

This is what ive been doing so far and i dont know how well im doing. Please let me know thanks :)

Sounds good, and hey, our moms have more growing experience than we do so dont laugh, she has probobly spent 20 years getting pests from her gardens. As far as the music goes, the plants cant hear it but if you like it than carry on. The stories you hear about singing to plants making em happy, they are happy because people emmit carbon dioxide (CO2) while singing to them. The 1 1/2 foot space is going to be too small eventually I hope. I havent used fox farm but I will someday, is this loaded with good nutrients? If not you will want to get some good food, maybe they make a tea mix too? What kinda lighting are you using?

So I am new to growing as well but I guess I am really confused as to why you would bother playing classical music in the grow room.
That really just sounds crazy
But what I really want to know is if anyone else has tried the boiled pepper as a pesticide? how well did it work for you?

I havent needed to but I have heard it works, and growing pepper plants by your other plants helps keep bugs away, they hate the stuff.

Yeah motobomb, it works like fucking magic

Sprinkle some powdered cayenne pepper into like a cup or so of water and boil it then stir and drain it thru a coffee filter and leave it to cool.

I had miracle grow when i started and it infected my plant with like twenty different kinda of bugs and when i transplanted it into the foxfarms soil i used the cayenne pepper stuff and all my bugs are gone

(I got the cayenne recipe from my mom im pretty sure it works old ladies know their stuff)

and about the classical music thing i heard it helps plants grow healthy, and yes sir i am in fact relatively crazy thank you for pointing that out :P
