Two babies, one seems ill or have nutritions deficiency (w/pics)

Hello mates!

I've checked a lot of online guides, including very precious information on Rollitup, before submitting this thread, but I definitely need your help now.

Background information:

I got two plants, 50 and 60 days each, germinated from seeds of unknown weed.
I'm growing them in soil, with no feeding other than water (once a day).
I transplanted both in a bigger pot a month ago (the operation went well).
As for the light, they live in my house and are exposed to the sun that comes thru the window: 7 hours a day of full sun, plus the hours of indirect light. No lamps, as for now.
(I know that this is very far from ideal, but it's my fist grow and I'm just happy to see them growing, I do not even know if they're males or females).

Picture of the two babies follows: (height: 8.6 and 11.8 inches)

The problem:

The tallest and oldest plant has burned tips on the intermediate leaves, and lower leaves are yellowing (w/green veins).

Reading the guides I thought of a Nitrogen (N) deficiency and a lack of Magnesium (Mg), so for the first time in plant's life I gave her a small shot of fertilizer (NPK 7:3:6) four days ago, and half of a teaspoon of Epsom salt in the water.

The situation got also worse, so I'm now worried of giving her more fertilizer.

Comparation with other plant

The other, younger and shorter baby seems to be in better conditions: she is starting to make new leaves (which I mistakenly believed to be pistills initially :D) on the petioles, and she is strong and not as droppy as the other. She had her oldest leaves somewhat deformed, but new ones are just fine.

Picture of the healty plant (how she looks like?):

Soil and light are the same, watering is the same, the only difference is that the first was born two weeks before and was weaker in the stem for the first weeks (I had to help her stand up). She also lost the very first pair of "round" leaves way before the other, and also lost her first pair of "single" leaves as you can see in the pics.

Your advice will be more than welcome, thanks!

i have a few :)

i think you should give them some wind they look awfully skinny. put a fan on them if you dont already have one on them

you could be over watering. you say you water once a day? i live in southern CA where its really sunny and i have my plants outdoor and i water probably once every 3 days and my plants are much bigger than yours. maybe because they get more light though

glad to see your interest in growing, keep it up

Hi Liebe, thank you for your response!

As for the air, they get lots of it every day, because they are in front of an open window and the air circulation is so strong that sometimes I have to close the door to avoid the plants to bend too much :D

The light is good in quality (what's better than sun?), but definitely poor in quantity, and maybe that's why they are small and skinny.

Overwatering? Maybe this is an issue: I used to water when the excess water that deposits in the dish under the pot is completely drained, the soil keeps moist. Maybe I have to wait that the soil is dry before watering again?
I use to water at the evening, when after the sun the leaves get droppy: generally, in a few hours i find them vigorous, in the morning expecially.

Bottom leaves of the tallest plant are rapidly yellowing and diying... what should I do?

glad to see your interest in growing, keep it up
Of course, my dear!

hmm i re read your first post and i didn't notice you put the epson salt in the mix. i think that made it worse.

cannabis loves to breath just as much as it loves water. i let my soil get dry before i even think about watering.

what kind of soil do you use? and i think you should let it get "direct" sunlight for a little bit during the day.

is it safe to put them outside under the sun for a bit or does the sun shine through the window beautifully enough where you dont have to put them outside?

also when my leaves yellow and there is no chance of them coming back i cut them off so the plant doesn't waste any more energy to the leaf but if you think it can come back to life then dont cut it off

Observing the plant now, I think you are right :(

I'll definitely try it!

what kind of soil do you use?
Generic supermarket soil, obtained for composting for the most part. It works great for other plants (basil, rocket, chili...)

and i think you should let it get "direct" sunlight for a little bit during the day.
It takes a total of 7 hours of direct sunlight, 2,5 in the morning and 4,5 in the afternoon. This is beautiful sunlight, even reflected backwards from the window's glass :)
The intermediate hours are indirect sunlight, the ones that makes you keep your lights off and the room very light, but it's not direct sunlight (approx 4 hours of this between the morning and afternoon direct exposition)

Sorry I can't put them outside, they are invisible where they are now but would be very noticeable outdoor.

Thank you for being helpful!

next time you grow make sure you look up guides on how to build a sweet soil. if you have a bomb soil and the sun you can grow w/o using any nutes. not saying you shouldn't use nutes, just saying thats how important the soil is

The bottom leaf seems unrecoverable, is starting diying... I'm gonna cut it.
I just hope the other two yellowing ones won't follow the same path.

I'll definitely check that guides out, thank you!
