Are you talking acoustical tiles or ceramic tiles? If they are just acoustical tiles, I would remove them and put anchor points in the stud, then drill holes in the acoustical tiles and run a chain through them.

Sounds odd but seems confirmed to be ceramic. I would use a drill bit designed to cut ceramic to make two holes in the tile and the structure behind which would allow me to then screw a hook in or whatever.

If it's in a bathroom and you have tiled ceilings, then the walls must be tiled all the way up too. For that I would get one of those shower curtain rods that are press fitted. One end screws outward and when its at the correct length, you force it into the opening. Hang your lights off of that and you do not have to drill holes into the tile. I don't like drilling holes into my bathroom tile either. If moisture gets in through the screw hole, it can really rot out the drywall. If you do have to drill into the tile, then yes, a ceramic/glass tile bit is what is needed.

or i know its a little extra work but u could build a wood frame with 2x4 fairly cheap and no holes in the ceiling to patch later like a rectange going up

can you afford to fuck up the tile? if you can just drill through that shit and put in an anchor hook up there and run some chain. if not then find a closet with a regular roof.

I'm a joiner when i'm not stoned or ill the best bet so you dont damage the tile is but a 7mm masonary it put this is the drill put the drill on hammer get some masking tape[most important]or the you tile will crack mark the distance on the loops on your light pit masking tspee over them and drill through the tile letthe drill do the work just puyt a little pressure on at first.then by two7 7mm fixings and bang them home with a hammr e careful near the end o knoking the plug home don't hit the til after all the hard prep.then get 2 hanging loops they look like question marks screw them in the plugg and you done.
