suggestion. Call and talk to tony at htg when your ready to buy. Mention your comparing prices and looking for a package of items and a low shipping combined price. Have your list ready with questions so he can give suggestions on sizes/reflectors etc. Mention you have heard good things about the company etc. Your package price will blow anything you have found away. They stand behind the product line when/if issues come up. If you just go by msrp your throwing money away. He is building return client business...you wont get buying on line or talking to his sales reps....gl.

I say Ebay, and HTGsupply does sell on Ebay, also.

However if you want to save money on lights then get a High bay fixture or Low bay fixture. They can easily be setup for a horizontal fixture. I have done this with no problems.

I even got my cooltube for $59.99 free shipping six inch tube 19 inches long.

also I say go with 12volt DC fans. Much cheaper and use less electricity.

everything else I say get from walmart, lowes or homedepot.

If you need anymore advice feel free to ask

That is why we are here

ok you are working with 12 square feet so you do not need more than a 400 Mh HPS for this area.

Instructions to convert fixture to horizontal setup https://www.rollitup.org/do-yourself/164853-how-use-industrial-low-bay.html

Very easy to follow.

This is what I did. I was overwhelmed with how much these systems cost for a good light setup. This is the cheapest route, and in my opinion the high bay fixtures are more reliable.

Now that is just my opinion. Others will disagree.

It all depends on you, and how much you want to spend, and effort you want to setting up your grow room

Oh also www.1000bulbs.com cheapest place on the internet for bulbs

anyway hope it helps

This is way to much to pay for second hand stuff. You can pick up an entire kit with bulbs for less. If you take my comments on this thread you will save a bundle. Do your research as Lumatek is the best way to go....

Sorry to disagree with you on this one, but these items are NEW not second hand

And yes I did my research on Lumatek. Less energy, more output, but this all comes from the people trying to sell them.

Of course they are going to say great things about the items they sell.

To me it is just a way to justify charging the outrageous prices they charge.

Same way any manufacture will brag about there products, so you will fork out the extra cash.

Industrial Lighting Fixtures have proven themselves already, and were well established. Not until T5 fluorescent hit the scene, with lower electricity usage with equal lumen output.

So why would I spend all this money when I can spend a whole lot less and get the same results.

Even sellers in the growing industry have realized that all these industrial fixtures that have yet to be used have so much value now in the grow light business. And they are trying to sell them at lumatek prices.

Hey I respect your right to your opinion, and hope that whatever products you choose to buy, live up to your expectations.

But me I have taken another router.

Well I was lucky enough to grab them when they were being sold for $20.00 on ebay.

Shipping was $20.00 so my total cost for both MH & HPS were $ 80.00

Sellers on ebay caught on quick and started jacking up the prices.

Hopefully you both more than one, in case one fails.

I have heard a lot of horror stories of lumatek ballast failing, then the growers were scrambling because they had to wait in the mail for a new one.

thanks for the advice ha just messin, im thinkin what if i do a SCROG with just these to plants as you can see there gonna have collas everywhere plus i already know there female and this also eliminates the different canopy heights. I know thats normally used for smaller lights, but what if i just let these two girls get about 1.5 foot tall and use SCROG and then start budding them... ya or naa what do u guys think. one more pic just cause i think there so pretty :leaf:
