First Harvest

This is my first harvest, I'm about 8 weeks into flowering (3 days away from 8 weeks). I could just use some knowledge from experienced producers. I have attached some pics taken 2 days ago, 5/29. The leaves have started falling off (the buds consuming all the sugars and nutes from them), the hairs have begun to turn reddish/brown, with the naked eye though I do not see any amberish tint in the trichs. Unfortunately I do not have a micro to take a closer look. Thinking I probably have about a week or so left but not certain. Any feedback appreciated.

Soil (Fox Farms soil with bat guano and worm castings, added seabird guano to soil)
Fox farm nutrients
150w hps
ph- unavailable
temp- kept between 70 F and 80 F
watering- daily about 2 cups
feeding- every other day

oh and the strain is unknown (bagseed)

hey not bad for a first time mate, they look a little droopy though, other than that look good.

drooping either from too much heat / light or too much water, or not enough, but they look to be pretty waxy wet. make sure its not too hot!

thanks alot man, I'm trying, and learning more everyday, I believe if I had the money to set up my room the exact way I want it the outcome would be alot better. But in time... :D

looking good mate, although a bit droppy..
all that reflecting stuff around is it foil? how far away is your hps and what's the height of the plant? can't be far away from harvest and i'm interested in yield as I'm going to be starting my first bagseed grow soon

looks like you have alot of bugs to work out for your next grow.

try a scrog if you plan to use the single 150watt hps. get one of those small rubbermaid bins and set it up for a scrog. you would have a much denser yeild if the buds were all more centralized directly under your bulb. consider adding some cfl's around your canopy for added light penetration

also, you seem to be a little heavy on the water, and nutes. all your leaves (especially the ones lower down) indicate the stress of over water.

waaaaayyyyy better than my first indoor grow!!

stay on it brother.

the reflecting is all mylar, I have to buy some more or white siding for reflection, think I will go with the white tarp when I get the cash since it stays flat and does not crinckle and bendup, the hps is about a foot and a half from the top of the plant and the height of the plant is 45 inches about 3 2/3ft - 4 ft. It is about 3 feet in width and 2 feet in depth. I also did alot of experimenting with this plant since it was my first grow, I almost lost it one time, and also did alot of trimming and bansai toying (obviously lol). Thinking the yield is smaller than I had hoped due to a number of factors (bugs) I need to work out.

1. I'm using a 150w hps (going to upgade to 1000w asap)
2. I now know I have been over watering, learning as I go. I have not been using foliar at all.
3. Temperature has been a bit chaotic, it has not gone over 80 (and if it has it wasn't for very long) but it is up and down alot (I need to get my portable AC)
4. Ventilation, I am working on my air system and fresh air is so important, I get as much as I can from a small side window, but I have no (official) intake or exhaust set up yet due to funds.

Thank you very much :) I'm working on alot and hoping to improve with my next indoor grow, I'm hoping to go up to a 1000w hps very soon, only funding will tell lol

The water and nutes are a deffinate for over using, thinking moreso the watering than the nutes, the nutes I have used exactly according to schedule, or maybe to this strain I may need to cut them back a bit, kinks that all need to be worked out, all trial and error right? :)

stick to half to three quarter's strength on the nutes. the bottle tends to over do it. a lesson i was dertimined to learn the hard way on my first 2 indoor grows.

The yield is smaller because you did trimming and bonzain; I did it too my first grow and was disappointed as a result.

Don't upgrade to a 1000w unless you have at least 16 plants and a 6'x6' or larger grow area. Otherwise you are commiting major wasteage of energy and creating excessive amounts of heat. Especially don't prioritize a 1000w when you haven't gotten watering and ventilation/heat down.

I started with a 1000w and it was ok because it was the winter, so the heat kept my babies alive, but I would never buy a 1000w again because its just such a waste of electricity and is so hot. I could use it now because I have a cooltube, but without an air cooled reflector its hopeless in the summer. Now I use a 400w, although I might bust out the 1kw again and try it with the reflector.

Cheers, try watering less and bigger pots means you can water less often (once in 2 or 3 days is ideal)

it has been proven that a 600watt hps with a digital ballast is the most effective cost/lumen ratio of any hid lighting.

it will run much cooler than the 1000, and it will make your buds just as dense

I'm on the 600w bandwagon - I ran two of them in a 2 1/2' x 7' closet & got over 30 z of banging widow.
Peace

That shit isnt ready, that plant looks sativa, if so it can run up to 14 weeks in flower depending on strain.
Lay off the ferts, you shouldnt be using ferts every other day, twice a week if not once a week with a soil grow.
With that one fifty you should run a sog, multiple smaller plants, you should be able to pull a q off with that light,
with a decent yeilding strain. Good luck dude.
