Bubbleponics questions please help

Ok I'm thinking of starting a bubbleponic semistealth grow and was wondering what I would need to buy I alredy have a 18 gallon rubbermaid I also need to keep this on a low budget. Since I'm a complete noob to bubbleponics I will ask lots of questions and I'm hoping that someone will help me thank you

To be honest, look at the SH.com web site, and you should be able to copy from the pictures you see, or at least get the idea of the setup, and copy the theory.

You asked me in a PM to visit you and advise.

I am not sure if you understand the real definition of Bubbleponics.
To many, the word just means having a DWC with an Air Stone in the water, bubbling. The real definiton is having an irrigation hub attached to a submersive underwater pump, in the tank, pumping nutrient enriched water and oxyegen enriched water to each grow cup and rockwool cube.

18 gallons is way too big, 18 gallons of water would require 3 times the nutrients, and be 3 times the labor of hauling water, draining it, and replinishing it. Controlling the pH and water temp is more difficult for 18 gallons than 5 or 6 gallons would be. You would also need larger pumps, and a larger airstone for 18 gallons, instead of 6 to 8 gallons.
I use a 8 gallon tank with 6 gallons of water and I also use a few 5 gallon
buckets.
Get a 5 gallon bucket with a lid, or a 8 gallon rubbermaid reservoir storage tank.


For one 8 gallon tank, or one 5 gallon bucket, you will need:
An Aquarium air pump from Walmart, a single for the bucket, a Dual for the tank
1 Air Stone for the bucket, or two for the tank
1/4 inch tubing
3 or 6 netted 3 inch grow cups
Rockwool Cubes
Hydroton rocks
pH Test Kit
pH Up and Down Chemical from Pool Supply or Aquarium Store,
6 inches of one inch or 3/4 inch tube, to connect Irrigation Hub to Pump
A submersive water pump, like at Lowes or Home Depot made for small water fountains

At Lowes, The brand name is MISTER LANDSCAPER. It is in the DRIP IRRIGATION section (even says "drip irrigation" on the package), the technical name for it is PVC SPRINKLER ADAPTER (that is on the package too), the item# is 191779, and the model# is MLA-RA9, and the cost is $10.73. My local Lowes had about 9-10 of them in stock.

You connect that hub to the pump, and run 1/4 tubes from the hub to each grow cup:

Nutrients for VEG and Bloom cycle, plus some Micro nutes
Extension Cords
Oscilating Fan
CFLs bulbs, red and blue spectrum or high and low kelvin spectrum
A good Digital Themometer and Hydrometer for Humidity from Walmart, about $5.00

I saw a lady on here two years ago, buy an old not working Aquarium from a flea market, and get the pumps and tubing, she used driveway gravel and aquarium gravel mixed for the Hydroton and a kitchen sponge for the rockwool, used miracle grow for nutes, strafoam cups with slits cut in
them for the grow cups, and she got a runt plant that made it or survived, but it was a pitiful excuse for a grow.

I think I'm going to change to a DWC, deep water culture, from what I've read DWC is having an airstone delivering oxygen to the roots while there submerged in water this seems like the most cost effeciant hydroponics grow. I plan on useing flourescents on this grow I can't afford hps/mh. I have another question are flourescents better then cfl? Any help will be greatly appreciated

I ended up getting the 6 outlet manifold, net cups, drain kit, hydroton, and the 1.5in rockwool right from stealth hydro. they were the best deal I found on those items. the rest you can get from walmart for a descent price. I ordered my water pump and airpumps on ebay and got a pretty good deal their too. I got all the stuff to setup two 14g totes for like $200 or less. thats running one dual airpump with four ten inch stones in each tank with a water pump in each. that also includes digital water temp thermometers from the pet store too. really though it would save a lot of time to just order the system right from stealth hydro, then when it gets there you can go right to it instead of making like ten trips to the store for odds and ends that you forget and watching for the ups guy everyday. also having the water pump will come in handy when it comes time to do res changes.
