Buying jars (mason jars)

yo i was curious to where all of you bought your mason jars. they are coming harder to come by

DNA genetics sell them on there website but i think there pretty dear, I just use a coffee jar that has a glass airtight lid!

I buy them at wal mart, they have 4 different sizes. Or any kitchen store in the mall. My hardware store (local) has these HUGE ones 3 different sizes. smallest can fit 2 oz, largest can fit 1/2 pound.

Walmart has the big glass ones for around 20 bucks, They probably about a gallon size. Ikea has ones about half that size with the locking metal clips for about 4 bucks.

Yep. They have the Fido jars, which are the best IMO.

I bought 25 of them at an estate auction over the holiday my boyfirend paid 9 dollars for them and most of them are from the 1900's one is pattented July14, 1903 stamped on the side of the bottle. I think I got a good bargain. Some are blue and some are clear.

pat catans or some giant eagles, look at the site, they give u general idea of where u can find them. also calling around never hurt anyone. i just got 12x Quart jars for 8$ bucks, new.

yep, you can find them in diffrent hardware stores and super markets.

Hobby stores often carry them as well. one in my area had them on sale....

Not sure of their geographic coverage but the very best/cheapest place to buy canning jars around here is a discount store called Big Lots. Albertsons Food Store also usually has them in the canning section. They are higher than Big Lots but do got them on most occasions.

^------True.... hobby lobby has air tight rubber seal counter top jars, albertsons has the preserver jars ( small and big), and big lots has fucking everything

Big Lots didn't have them in my area(North OC). I got mine from Smart & Final. I've seen them at Stater Brothers too.

yup i think i ended up paying around 10 bucks for 12
