What's the longest you've seen a plant go before ready?

Hey guys... my question stems from my plants. I have 6 in DWC, under 400w hps + 250w MH, all in a 2' x 3' space. My temps are good (66-78 f), I try to keep pH right.

Today makes 80 days of 12/12, and 69 days since flowers showed. So basically 10 full weeks since there have been lots of pistils.

As of now, they are growing in places and still have maybe 50-60% white pistils. Trichs are mostly cloudy, hardly any amber (except the very center buds).

The plants are Hindu Kush x Skunk (5 plants) and White Widow (1). The websites say these strains should be 8-9 week flowering plants.

I'm not complaining and I'm going to wait till they are ready, just wondered if you guys experience this, or had any ideas what's holding my girls back.

A couple things that happend during the grow, my airstones were clogged for about 2 weeks (that could be it), also my pH was down around 5.15 for a week or two or three (not really sure).

Also I have never had any problems with deficiencies at all (they are changing colors now, but I have been flushing for 3 weeks now)... just a stall of growth when the airstones were clogged.

The first pic is the White Widow... the rest are Hindu Skunk

:peace:

EDIT: I'm interested in your stories too, not just what you think of my plants. Please share.

Thanks bro...

I'm going to at least wait another week, please don't shoot me strangerdude.

I've even thought of going to 18 hour days... 6/12 or something to try and get them to wrap up. But that's a lot of work and keeping track of the timer and crap... I'd probably end up re-vegging them or something.

You can give it 1-3 days of dark, I've heard of a few people doing that just before harvest. I ain't going to shoot you though, that's what I'll use to protect my plants If I ever have to.

Thanks.

I didn't know the stone was clogged for that long or I would have changed it.

And no I'm never in the rez becuase this is my first grow and I didn't think when designing. My screen is hooked to the walls, there is no moving it... the plants are hooked to the screen, and the tank is pretty much hooked to the plants. So pretty much no room to work in there at all. Not the best plan on my part.

FYI: I have havested 2 plants already, the other will come down in the next week.

I cut the first one on day 75 of flower and now we are on day 80.

Personally - 12 weeks (cut yesterday) - I tried a sample about 3 weeks ago and it did the job nicely, more cloudy and amber now though so hopefully it'll be killer stuff!

That Paradise Ice Cream takes AT LEAST 10/11 weeks to START to go amber!

yea that always sucks when your dealing with small space constricts like that, next time try to make it set up so u can always be in there, thats a big deal especially in hydro where u can take a look at your roots all the time, 100 percent controlled so you can almost always tell whats wrong with ur girls, hey at least u learned this time they look good so dont sweat the bad airstone they still came out nice enjoy the smoke let me know how it is

yeah that will just re veg them
what I do when I get a strain that wont finish I turn the light to 10 on and 14 off that tell them the season is really almost over so finish up

Got some Sativas that are 12 weeks now and I suspect it will be another 2-3. It all depends on the strain and the type of "high" you want.

I harvested my Blueberrys at 14 weeks, they lost their stickiness, the buzz was lame I think the THC began to degrade.

Hey guys... so the plants in question have finally been harvested. My White Widow was chopped 13 weeks and 5 days since showing pistils everywhere.

This was my first grow and I learned a lot. I'm sure that this next time I will have plants that are a lot closer to their 'flowering time'.

Here's some pics. The first is my closet with 1 White Widow and 1/2 - 1 Hindu Skunk. Then close up of WW... close up of HS. Trimmed WW... trimmed HS. Hash Ball (2.9 grams).

Seventeen weeks of Flowering for this girlie of an unknown Starin, but definately Sativa Dominated.

Be Blessed,

Rev. TheNatural

Oh and at seventeen weeks, her Trichomes were just starting to turn amber.
