Is she ready? :/

Sorry for being a noob. Admittedly, this is my first ever grow, so I fucked up quite a bit. But thats OK. I hold it as a valuable learning experience :P

I didn't do too much...mostly just veg nutes and water. So, I wasn't expecting much. I know these aren't covered in trichs like most of your guys' plants are, but I'd say about 80% of the hairs are orange now.

Also - this was bagseed so I really have no idea what it is. The smell is REALLY, REALLY citrusy...almost exactly like oranges. Any ideas as to what it might be?

I pretty sure that it is not ready yet. I'm seeing plenty of large leaves but no real calyx. It's not a real nugget yet or it might just not be potent enough if the pistils are orange already.

I wouldn't harvest yet. You won't end up with much bud.

IDK how much more its going to grow. Its been flowering for like 9 weeks now.
some strains can take a while to flower, even longer than 9 weeks. plus if you have a lower lighting system, the growth rate will be slower. look at the trichromes close up if you can to see a milky color and they are standing up. when the triches start going a caramel color, or they are milky gray throughout, you are getting very close if not there

I know about the trichs, but I can't see them :( No microscope and I can't find one around here unfortunately.

Thanks for the tips though guys. I'll let her go a little while longer.

I do know its not done when the white hairs keep growing that means the plant still has lots of new growth.

I would give her another 3-4 weeks until some of the fan leaves start to turn yellow
even though it looks indica dominant to me.. give it a lil more time

Before I had my 30 power microscope I used to use a magnifying glass. I can even tell with the naked eye and a good light (kinda). For me it's the only way to really know for sure. Everyone here can guess and give you their opinion. There are actually other posts on here with the same thing. One of my few posts on this site was on this very subject.

Reading Reading and more Reading, it's so easy these days too. You don't have to go to underground book stores anymore.
You could search on this site and around the internet and become an expert with the most up to date information. I make time for whats important and I read and learn Really Fast. (especially if I'm into it)
I would let it grow and go to Toys R Us and get a 30x micro scope or Radio Shack.

I agree Tre. To say the least at about 2 to 3 weeks into flower truth is that you will already see some amber trichs so I dont believe in going off the trichs. When a nug is done It will look ripe nothing but.
