wireless pump and timer

Anyone know where i could find a portable battery powered pump and timer for watering in a place where i cannot get power. I plan on putting the pump in a river and making it pump water to my plants once a day or maybe every other day. How would i connect the pump and the timer to work together if they are not plugged into a power source together??

if you could make a trip evry few days to the grow spot and refill bottles

put about 4 r 5 pin holes in the bottem of a 2 litre bottle and put the bottle beside the plants and it will water them slowly hope this helps...peace

Im gonna say the timer-battery thing is not your best bet. I'd do something like spliff said. Another option would be to have some sort of tank of water(5gal or maybe more) with a spout at the bottom. You can get water powered timers that will fit to the spout. You just have to have enough water in the tank to keep the pressure high enough at the spout to keep the timer going. I dont know a whole lot about these but they are out there. I'd look into that. But youd have to go fill the tank periodically.
