I need help fast! I have an inspection on my apartment in two days and I need some good advise. I currently have a group of plants in their last few weeks of flowering, and another group in their first few weeks.

My plan for the inspection is to turn everything off and stuff the closet with normal storage items, etc. Will the extra period of darkness hurt my plants at all? Or the stagnant water in my res?

Check out my grow journal if you need any details about the grow.

first of all wat are dey inspecting maybe jus checking some stuff like a appliances but dey have no rite to go in your closet jus hide it turn on some music so it will drown out the noise if any noise taht you might have in your closet :]

So they don't look through closets? Good to know. I still don't want to risk it, so does anybody know if prolonged darkness will hurt my babies? Will they go hermie?

box it run tape along all the sides for smell proof add large garbage bags and put blakets over it . before they come cook alot of bacon , they wlll never smell anything. You can put then in dark cycle for 48 hours, just means they will ripen a bit faster specially the ones that are couple weeks old they will harves in the 7th or 8th week instead of 8th or 9th week depending on strain

The bacon is a good idea, coffee ontop of that can't hurt either.. Are there radiators, or fire alarms in the room? If not I can't imagine what a landlord would need to even go into the room for..
Herm tendency depends on genetics.. Your best plan would be to extend your last light period beyond 12hrs so that you can have a legit 12hr dark period when needed.. I outlined the reason in a recent thread about changing light cycles..
Seriously though, what is the purpose of this inspection?? Are you in a basic landlord/tenant situation, or something like residence where they typically have illegal stipulations in the agreement?? (Not that the fact that the fact that they are illegal will do you any damn good if they find something.. Since they aren't the police themselves, the police can freely use any information given to them as long as they themselves stay within boundaries)..
Seriously, if they even want to enter a bedroom for anything other than a radiator/smoke detecter check, just tell them to leave, and act appauled at the fact that they expected to include that in the inspection.. I know alot of ppl with nothing incriminating who would do exactly that on the matter of personal space alone..
A landlord has a right to maintain his property with due notice or in an emergency, but they have ABSOLUTELY no rights to anything else that is within your designated area.. They forfeited their freedom to that property when they rented it to you..

Why are they inspecting? I had an apartment grow once, and the only time we ever had inspections were for 1 of 2 reasons. Either they are checking your smoke detectors or you were late on rent and they just want to confirm someone is still living there. If its the rent, ask if they can cancel inspection because you don't want people in your apartment when you aren't there. They are usually pretty cool about it.

It's just a smoke detector inspection, I think. Lol, my landlord's coming today to put in smoke detectors for the inspection. He's cool, but I have never had an inspection before so I didn't know what to expect. Thanks for all your help, +rep for all.

I remember packing up a grow for a smoke detector inspection, and they just walked down the hall and squirted smoke at the detectors from a big wand.. Never even entered my appt.. Can't say thats how yours goes down though..

Record your landlord discussing the fact that he's installing these merely because he is getting inspected.. Might be nice leverage if he discovers something and is less cool than you think..:)

Yea, be there. When I was renting an apt. I never let them in with out an appointment. At the time it was because I was storing noxious race gas in the place, and didn't want them to smell it. The one time I didn't pack the gas up and just hid it they smelled it and made me move out. Over race gas, lolol..

No locks on closets, especially in a rental unless its hidden.. The last thing you want is a landlord wondering and paying more attention..
