I know you were referring to my FIRST grow. Thats why the argument was extremly weak. A FIRST grow hello? You have completely jacked this poor guys thread with your childish behavior and you've completely strayed away from the WHOLE POINT. which was HEAT. Its not CFL - VS HID its CFL@80degrees VS HID @ 100 degrees And I still say CFL@80degrees WINS this particular comparison. I know you are experienced enough to know that 100 degrees is NO GOOD!

Ya'll can stop right there. Dude I'm in a space 2 1/2 X 3x6. I have a exaust vent that leads to the room. Right now I have the 2 ft CFL back on and changed the nutes, Ph 6, I have one fan right at the light(400hps) thats now just about 2ft above the floor flowing.A bigger one at ground hieght plus my fresh air fan.
Check out my journal.

After looking at your room I would say you either need an air cooled hood or a larger exhaust fan.
I would recommend you raise the light a little as well.

Thanks for the advice. I checked a while ago and the WW is still yellow and new growth is white. I'll wait to see what happens with that. I forgot to tell you I run my lights in the late afternoon till about noon then turn them off during the hottest part of the day.

I really dont know how to add the web address to the bottom so you can link my grow journal. If you look for it its SH's first grow ,,,White Widow , Big Bang, White Rino GHS before I forget its 82 F in the grow room right now.

Go to your journal, and copy the address from your browser (with your mouse)and paste it in the reply box. OR to put the link in your signature- click on MYROLLITUP and on the left is your control panel. Go down to SETTINGS and OPTIONS click EDIT SIGNATURE. Then paste the link in the window there. You can also paste a signature picture or upload one from your camara or computer.
I've been reviewing all the info here trying to figure out your WW. Its been yellowish since the beginning, and now the new growth is almost white you say. Well, i dont think thats why they call it white widow lol so...tell us about your water. Are you using water straight from your tap? My tap water is nothing short of toxic  8.4 PH and smells like a swimming pool. If your WW has been less than happy the WHOLE grow then something very basic that has not changed the WHOLE grow is to blame. The water. Could be- too hard, too soft, high chlorine content, high iron (rusty pipes?). Or am I grasping at straws?? Thoughts??

Now you must exercise patience.
Your plant will need time to show improvement.
Maintain your temps and your Ph, and your sure to see green!

All I have is time..... Water is very hard here, I normally use filtered water and then add nute then adjust the ph. I get it from the place outside my local store. temp are now stable 82 with light on, still no change on any of them. I'll keep you all posted once i see green on the ww, but the way see growing she is for sure stunted.

WAY to hot!! Thats why they're curling up trying to hide from the hot "sun" . MJ will barely grow if at all in those temps. And yellow usually means hunger. It is lacking nutrients in proper proportion because 1) its too damn hot or 2) there aren't nutrients present in the medium, or 3) the Ph is off and the nutrients are "locked out",and the plant cant use them.

bingo bingo

Nute lock out? I change the water and nutes friday, ph was 6. I added 1 tsp for each gallon ( 5 gal res) of both grow and micro. Saturday I rechecked and the ph was at 7 , so I got it back down to 6. This morning it is still at 6 but slowly going up. So whats my next step, how can I prevent Nute lockup?

uhh, yea guys.. I still do not see any evidence (from these pics) of any kind of curling from heat stress.. this is definitely a nute lock out or burn of some kind.. do what everyone said about flushing, making sure ph is good to go and then gradually (1/2 strength) go back to nutes and those guys will do fine - its a 'weed' .. cheers

well the heat stress talk comes from the fact that steelherman said in his very 1st post that temps were "86-98" with lights on. Something is making the PH climb, and inconsistant Ph hurts. Friday it was 6 then saturday it was 7. Thats no good. Temperature does affect PH but not THAT much. Solve the PH inconsistancies and the plant will fix itself.
