I'm still in the building phase of the project. As soon as I'm finished I'll have some pics. Questions, comments, and concerns are welcome. Any and all advice is appreciated.
I am in the same boat as you. Are you aware that you are also prohibited from having over 2.5oz of usable material on hand at any time? Another limitation that will affect your system's design.I'm still in the building phase of the project. As soon as I'm finished I'll have some pics. Questions, comments, and concerns are welcome. I suggest you hold off on the CO2 system. You may never really need it.
I have been reading Al B. Fuct's thread: https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/6592-get-harvest-every-2-weeks.html and trying to alter it to a 12 plant system in soil with about a 3 week cycle and my 1oz/month requirement. I am only at about post #200 in the 2000 post thread but I plan to finish it soon. Al has been giving advice on growing for 14 years and it shows, he is great. I am also part way through his FAQ and Cloning threads.
At this point I am planning on having 2 to 3 mother plants, 1 to 4 clones in process of rooting and 5 to 8 plants flowering at any one time. And I plan to have them all within a legal system that has a cycle that matures 2 to 3 plants each month at 0.5+oz per plant expected.
My space is a 6'x4' closet in my basement, I am currently running a 600HPS and 400MH. I am about to separate a 3'x1.75' area within it with panda paper for the mothers and hopefully clones to be on a different light cycle than the flowering plants. I will also be changing the 400MH to a 250MH when I move it to the separate space. I am currently having some problems with my temps running in the mid 80's, I want it at about 79F. I will be adding another exhaust fan so that both of my lights can be cooled inline which together with the drop in wattage should solve my problems.
In general be careful of the advice you get here. Most people are accustomed to giving advice that only maximizes output per square foot. Our plant count and output is limited so we have unusual limitations. To give you an idea of what is possible without our limitations - I think Al B. grows about a pound a month in your same space.
