Am i going okay & can i clone yet? [Got pix]

Hey guys, sorry just running on rollitup for some urgent help, blood hell im flying right now....

Basically, i'm around 6-7 weeks in on a first grow, (NFT system, 4 x LED lights, 2 plants (had 6... 4 Died due to small errors i now know about )

Anyways, i'm pretty scared about trying to clone my poor baby, i've always been so scared of hurting her, now the idea of snipping away at her is quite a daunting one... Specially if i do it all wrong

I was also wondering what those small leaves are coming out at her joints? I thought they'd come out when she started flowering, not already? :S

Another question.. I have serious heat issues, my attic gets very cold some nights and atm i'm have to leave a small heater on (2000W!?!?!) and a fan to keep it maintained so it stays around 78-80 which isn't ideal with the amount of money being spent and a bit of a electricity 'spotter'

If anyone could help me on these issues i'd be truely greatful

Please help me asap as im not sure whether to try and clone her or to start her into flowering and just buy more seeds.

Agreed. Also what the hell kind of lights are thos? i never knew you could use LED have you grown it up to that size under those lights??

Its a stealth grow, 4 x LED pannels from start. Getting a new CFL to compliment it.
I was mashed when i wrote this and i thought that assumption of flowers at the joint would form once the flower went into flowering, not whilst it was still in vegging?

Please dont be snide about it and just help me out, its a blank spot in my head which i needa know about, surely?

How much longer do you think i should wait before clone'ing? and why do you think she is so behind schedule? I'm sure shes supposed to be bigger then she currently is?

Your plants look good and healthy with nice green foliage. However, they are really small for 4 weeks of growth. I would guess that it does not have enough lighting. The new growth is new shoots, side branching. Wait until those grow out and use the lower ones for cloning. As for your heat issue, you could build a grow-cabinet in your attic, which would hold in the heat of the lights better. Although, you would need a few more cfl's to get any heat in there since those LCDs give off no heat. Another option is to add a HPS or MH, which goes give off a lot of heat. Most people have problems getting the heat down so if your room were too cold most of the year, I would go with a HPS instead of running that fan for heat, which does nothing for growth and I think you would use less electricity with a HPS or MH if it were even a 1000 watts. Though a 1000 watts for 2-6 plants would be overkill.

best possible answer i cudda hoped for. This plant is my first grow and i had a few issues at the beginning which killed the rest (total underwatering)

I thought the NFT would spray the bottom of the rockwool cubes elevated above, but it doesn't reach them.

i now have a bubbler set up to grow the seedlings from and hopefully gain a bit of a bigger plant.

The idea of a new CFL and that is something i've been looking into but my lights aren't on at night, i may have to change the cycle of the new lot of attempting to grow?

Wont the heat from the HPS and CFL be a bit of an issue with the whole infared scanning police helicopters do?

the main thing is, i dont wanna get caught.

as for the lighting atm

2x 14w Red 225 LED light (650 Nanometer Wavelength)
2x 14w Blue 225 LED light (465 Nanometer Wavelength)

is this way too low?

I was thinking of getting the '125 Watt Blue/Red Eco-Light complete with Sun Mate CFL Reflector'
would this do the trick? Either get one or two.
one thing i need to know is, what colour should i get?
im thinking of using them on a SoG type approach and they'll be coming from seedling, straight to flowering.
any suggestions?
Maybe theres another lighting system you know about that i shud take a look at? Let me know

I have no knowledge of LED's because I do not like them. Some say they will be the future of growing but I do not think they ever will. I believe the future will be plasma lights. As for HPS being an issue for the birds in the sky, I doubt one light would set off any signals. Watch the Never Get Busted videos (I think that is the name of them) on Utube and they show what those infrared scanning camera's can see and it is usually only the exhaust vents. Anyway, I doubt they would go after any operation with one light. They are scanning for huge grow operations. The cost of prosecuting a one light operation would be too costly and if the cameras could see a single heat source through your roof, there are many other things that would give off heat in a single location. Now if they see an even spacing of about 10 heat sources, they might want to investigate that but for a single heat source, I highly doubt they would even look twice at your house.

I might go for a HPS then...
only problem that comes with that tho is that in the summer, it gets VERY hot.
and havin a HPS on aswell, will make it even more hotter?

Its in a loft and im not sure how best to vent in. I have it in the panels on the side of my room, i move off one panel and behind there is the grow. I'm thinkin of exhausting the grow into my room using a fan and then just leaving my window open for it to go out of. This way the heat will be coming from my room, out of my window. Looking more natural then any holes in the wall surely?

Well you do got some issues here. First of all how do you know the plant is a female and therefore something you would even want to clone. A person don't normally know that till it has been flowered...which by then it's too late to clone it. Now I know some who claim to be able to clone while in bloom but it wasnt the way I was taught. I handled a similar situation like this. Go ahead and put it in bloom and bring it to harvest. If it turns out to be a female clip off all the useable buds and give it a good trim job and change your lighting cycle back to 18/6 which should then make the plant go back into veg in a few weeks. After it has grown a good bit and bushed up again, then take the clones. That way you will you have all females for clones. Reflower the Mother along with her babies. Best plant I ever had was a Mama who went through two grow cycles like that. Finally knocked her in the head a few weeks back. Get the picture?

It's easy to tell in veg what the sex is. Just look around the 6-7th node and there will be the first signs of sex.
The one picture of the male is a male plant in VEG. Females look like spades in veg.

I'm thinkin of getting 1 or 2 CFL lights in there with reflectors, or one diamond reflector HPS, not sure which tho?
Any suggestions? I dont want to have to spend too much and its for a SoG style grow, just gonna shove them in there, 24/7 from seedlings/clone and then move it down to 12/12 and give them around 7 weeks to do der TING.
