First Outdoor Grow.

don't want that, i'll continue to keep it outside and let mother nature take her course ( even though i wish she would hurry up) but what is a good height for the plant to be while growing outside. I just don't want it to get too tall, I'm hiding it amoung other plants and don't want it to get taller than my tomatoes, so do you suggest maybe getting a few lights and bring it indoors???? I do feel like the plant is safe, home all the time....

well, I heard from some people that you can do 1 of 2 things or maybe even both. Maybe someone can help me here...you can either tie the branches down or pinch the nodes to force alternate growth keeping your plants shorter and bushier. But again, this all depends on your strain. Indicas are shorter and more squat, while Sativas are more leggy, tall and thinner leaves.

my plant is two feet tall and about a foot wide, looks like a christmas tree to me, just waiting 4 the presents, the stem is about as thick as my index finger( but you don't know me so that isn't saying alotl) lets say its as thick as a size 10 ring. i have smoked some of the leaves that got damagegd, by wind and rain and do get a buzz, just doesn't taste as good as the buds would. could you look at the pics on my personel page????

you talk about pinching the nodes, but there are white hairs there, it seems that everyplace there is a branch or a leaf there are white hairs.

I'm not really familiar with the whole "pinching" technique. I'm fortunate to live somewhere that I don't really need to be discrete. Hopefully someone else reads our thread and can help us with some advice.

in the great state of central florida, so you think she looks good......:) she gets babied alot.... so by looking at her can you determine anything????how much taller it should get and when to maybe force her to flower.... i sound like a broken record sorry

Don't appologize. Helping you helps me. The only stupid question is the question left unasked.
In my opinion, I would just keep on doing what you're doing. If its not broken, don't fix it. Keep her outdoors, for she is very happy. Let mother nature run her course.
It almost looks like a hybrid sativa/indica strain. But I can't determine anything by just lookin' at it. Maybe by smokin' it! LoL
See how your grow goes this year; hopefully sucessful. Then next year you can order your seeds online to tailor-fit your needs. i.e. height/yield/flowering time, etc,.
Answering your question about how tall it might get you may want to seek other types of plants to camoflage your girl, such as bamboo/palm tree, um...I don't really know what else grows in Florida.:weed:

Herb doesnt' need a container over 5 gallons. Hopefully this is your last transplant since weed doesnt like its root structure being disturbed much. So the less times transplanted, the better off you'll be. Glad to hear that they didnt show any signs of stress. You're lucky. Depending on your geography (climate) and strain of herb the plant will naturally know when to start flowering. Usually, when the natural light starts getting less (days becoming shorter) after Summer Solstice (June 22nd). It generally takes about 1-2 weeks for the marijuana plant to register the light difference change. The shorter days are an idicator for weed to start flowering and reproduce. You're plant potentially has another 2 1/2-3 weeks of vegetative growth. So, you may see a larger increase in size...Better hide your plant! Remember, not all plants grow at the same rate of speed/height even if its the same strain, so things vary.
Hope this helps, and good luck! Send pics.:bigjoint:
Hell yeah you pretty much can flower it easy anytime outdoor almost all year long in Florida. I grew a seed indoor first week of March under 24/7 until end of April then put it outdoor for 12/12 and its coming along really nice as of now. This is a way to get a nice harvest almost anytime you want. Free sunlight for the flowering stage.

Ok let say you are putting it out from 6 AM to 8 PM. I say put it inside 5 PM. You put it inside a room where there is no light leak and repeat process and it will flower faster. The 8-10 hours of direct sunlight is way more enough for it to frost up under 8-10 hours a day. This is how you force flower it. You can reduce one hour 2 weeks before you cut it. Don't forget to not water the plant 24-48 hrs ahead of time to make it dry faster.

For huge yields you go with mother's nature natural cycle.

Keep up the good work on waking up early 7 day a week lol. MJ love the morning sunlight the best because it's not too hot yet.

You can buy a plant "soap" for vegetables that is eco friendly and organic that you spray on the foliage for pest control. This way you can hide your girl more efficiently in and around your garden...that is, if it continues to grow taller.
