Using compact fluorescents to flower?

I have a small area where I'm growing where heat is a problem even for compact fluorescents. My temp are 80-95... But anyway, thats not the question.

I cant get a straight answer so maybe I'm asking wrong. But how much lumen output would I need to grow the best CF buds I can when I flower? The more the better is how I understand it but what about a cheapskate who has trouble buying $50 CF's?? Anyone have any rough numbers to aim for for someone with a small grow room?

10,000 lumens per sq. ft of grow space, no matter what kind pf light it is, more is always better but this is the minimum no. of lumens to grow anything worth a crap.

you can by outdoor lamps that run 150watt cfls, simply attach a chord, first bulb is included, they can be moved and angled wich gives you better aiming it your plants.

cost is $69.00 from hardware store you can also buy the tube floro's, this gives the abillity to play with lumen out put and spectrum(i use red and blue at all times)
but you need a shit load of em'...you are better of growing one plant properly versus four plants half ass...1 proper plant can yield a 1/4 pound, four plants that smoke like shit are nothing but wasted time and money.

you have plenty of time though, so save your money, it is worth it to do it right

Not to be rude but i have seen a single plant produce 1 pound an 6 grams of fine white widow bud under a single 200 watt cfl 13,000 lumens in a closet its all in the way the person grows

One plant, one massive light. Thats allot of bud. I only have 3 plants but they are in a confined space(see photo below). Either way I'm gonna have to buy a few $50 bulbs and some more fans or something to keep em cool.

The beginning of plant heat stroke???

I have 4 42 watt and 4 26watt = 16000 lumen in a 3x4ft space, and i'm finishing up my grow now. My one plant looks like it'll give me an ounce, but this particular strain (White Satin from Mandala seeds) is said to do very well in low light and high heat.

I also use mylar, fox farm ocean forest soil, fox farm nutes, and i have good ventilation.

If you cant giver it good light then make sure you can atleast give it the best soil/nutes/water that you can.
