Freaking OUT

Today is the 3rd day since i haven't smoked bud, this coming thursday i am going to have a cornea transplant. I will be undergoing a general anesthetic and i was told by my doctor to not smoke for a week prior to surgery. This all makes sense, but post surgery i was told i shouldn't smoke for 3-6 months after surgery because the bacteria in the smoke could hurt my eye. I have smoked everyday for the last couple years so to say the least 3-6 smoke free months is a nightmare. So if i cant smoke it it only seems logical for me to cook it:lol: What i am worried about is that by eating it in brownies or other food still could change my eye pressure in the operated eye. SO my question for all of you guys is do you think it is a bad idea for me to start eating weed in food a couple weeks after surgery while i have a healing cornea?

They probably don't want you to get high at all, because your eyes will get bloodshot, and might fuck up the surgery. pros-get high. cons- get blind. do the math.

Just wait it out, they know what they are on about... Plus think how high you will get after the wait :)

No it really isn't an addiction it just makes it better you know. I got other hobbies but lifting and smoking are by far the best and i definatly cant lift for 6 months and the regulation on smoking afterward is much more hazy. Worst case if i cant smoke it or eat it so be it, but my actual eye surgeon told me that smoking marijuana almost has no effect on a humans eye pressure, so I'm curious as to what is wrong with eating it if it really wont effect my eye pressure that much and if I'm not getting bacteria in my eye

Dude, talk to your docs. They will for the most part be straight with you. Just make sure you don't ask him for permission. With docs it's best to talk in the past tense, same thing with lawyers.
Phrase it like Älright, so I may have eaten some weed brownies, what should I do. They will either tell you what could go wrong. But if you ask "What will happen if I eat weed brownies?" They will most likely simply say "Don't eat weed brownies." because they are usually very protective of there reputation so they aren't going to tell you to go ahead and do it.

Weed and anaesthesia are kind of a weird thing, but if you are honest and upfront, and your anaesthesiologist is experienced it should not be a problem. Marijuana lowers blood pressure which is not always a good thing to do right before surgery. On a side note, the reason your eyes get bloodshot is because the capillaries in your eyes expand, lowering pressure in your eyes. This might also cause problems with the healing process. If you were under my care I would recommend you not smoke the day before or the day of, and give yourself plenty of time to recuperate.

Much love - :peace:

How about just using a 18 inch bong and don't let the smoke get in your eyes. Or smoke outside...

I'd say vaporize or make baked goods. We all know that inhaling burnt plant matter isn't exactly great for you,and the smoke getting in your eyes very well could be a problem.I'd also worry about coughing.Just get a vaporizer or make one. There's one in the growfaq..I've never made it, so I can't tell you how well it works.https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=560

My wife has glaucoma and smokes to reduce the pressure in her eyes.None of the drops she takes work, she can smoke a bowl and it will bring the eye pressure down from 23-24 to 16.Her eye doctor told her that he used to tell his people to smoke, this was before they came out with the drops.
Coughing would worry me more than smoke in your eyes after surgery.Use a vaporizer and take small hits.Good luck.OPH
