So...I have 9 Early Misty growing under a 400 watt MH. I also have 1 early misty growing outside that is twice the size of these.
They were started in early May with sunlight during the day and ( 26 watt Daylight CFL's and (1) small UV CFL at night.
I think the constant moving, mixed spectrums and inconsistent lighting schedule really slowed their growth - but they have really taken off since I put them on 18/6 under the MH. They have always looked pretty healthy - just small.
They are planted in a special nursery mix soil (bat guano, worm castings, good funghi, pearlite). 7 of them are in 5 gallon Smart Pots - 2 are in 2 gallon plastic pots. We'll see if the smart pots are as smart as they say they are.
They have received super thrive, silica and AN Nirvana since sprouting and I've just added Fox Farm's Grow Big to the weekly watering.
They are in a basement bathroom with fans. The hottest it's every gotten was 84 F....it usually hovers around 80 F with 60% RH. Water PH is 6.5.

So...that's my grow! I'm an experienced gardener - but this is my first try at weed. I'm having a great time.

Whats the pots that look like bags? are those the smart pots?

IMO, young plants do best when left in small planters until they merit more space. It's like the roots are bizzy filling your bigger pots and thus, the plant is not focusing on veg growth yet.

Thanks Mr. Fishy. Yeah. I left out that they were all in 5 inch jiffy pots until very recently. I transplanted them into the "smart pots" (fabric looking pots) very recently when I saw roots coming out the bottom of the jiffy's. The smart pots are 5 gallon but I folded over the edges to make them a little smaller. I think all of the moving back and forth between sun and cfls was damaging any exposed roots at the bottom of the jiffys - otherwise, I had planned to transplant them when there were a lot of roots on the bottoms.

Are those smart pots suppossed to prune the roots? I am interested in this because I have plastic pots coated with microcote. The microcote contains copper hydroxide and it prunes the roots as well. It will be interesting to see which type of container will do better. Mine are still babies though. Smaller than your's.

Higher: yeah, the smart pots are supposed to "air prune" the rootz. We'll see.....

but I found them at various internet sites slightly cheaper.

I think they are better than plastic grow bags because they breathe - providing more oxygen to the roots. I could be wrong though! Only time will tell.
