Im very confused i have read alot on growing mushrooms not only on here but also in the shroomery. Ive been starting at these jars for awhile trying to figure out how... When i read i just invision sticking the syringe in there and injecting them b/c there already pre sterilized. And in the one picture the top is off and the shrooms are groing. What happened too contamination???? Is this a more expensive or easier route too grow? Please vent... Im curious can sombody chime in and fill me in on what im missing. Or do you just drop this inside of a jar before you sterilize it in the pressure cooker ugh:roll:

seriously overpriced man.
Get some widemouth 500ml canning jars (less than a dollar each here)
buy some polyfill, the white stuff that looks like cotton used in aquarium filters

Next, drill a 10mm hole or close to that size, in the centre of the lid and plug it up tightly with the polyfill...

There you have your own myco jars at just over a dollar each.

I can buy 500g (1 pound) of popcorn for a dollar or 4 pounds of whole corn for 2 dollars.
One 500g packet is enough for 4 jars, and now all you need is spores or a liquid clone cultre.

You have used popcorn? how would you sterlize that? But my question was are those myco jars just ready to shoot it up

Some people leave the corn to soak for a day (little more if its cold) then dry it so its not wet on the outside anymore and put it into the jars I mentioned, then Presure cook them for about 65minutes.

I don't soak, but presure cook them in water for 40 minutes, then dry, jar and presure cook for 65mins.

I seriously wouldn;t even think about those tubs... I can make a dozen for the price of one.

Yeah, I think those jars are ready for the shot.

But i thought sterilization is a huge key it shows the lid of growing shrooms do you have to have this inside of a sterile container even though its already in one b/c i thought that open container would screw it from growing

You see when the jars go into the presure cooker for the 65 minutes round it kills virtualy everything in there... the kind of stuff that may survive those temps, will take at least about 2 weeks to realy get going in numbers... after the jar has cooled off spores or liquid mycelium solution is simply injected in through the polyfill plug. The mycelium will take over the jar and protect it from weak contaminats.

So if you don't flame your needle you can squirt bad guys into your sterile jars, but otherwise if you are working from some clean syringes it should not be an issue.

You realy just need to do it to see how easy it is.
There are vids out there, but none that explains clearly and scientificaly why they do what they to, with the consequence that people follow blindly without thinking and adapting to their circumstances.

If you can open and close a presure cooker you are skilled enough to do it.
