adding soda/softdrinks to water....

so i have heard a few people say that they will poor soft drinks into there water... heard one person say root beer and another say they use dr. pepper.. they say it helps give a sweet taste to the buds... just wondering if anyone does this or heard of anything like this????


also sittin here high and pondering...... I'm growing mango kush and bout to start a final flush... wondering if i were to get a mango and slice it in halves or quarters and set it in my resivoir woudl it sweeten the taste at all? or have any benefits for my plants?

Dont know if theres anything by adding glucose sucrose sugar watever.. but once I added a little sugar to my watering and my plant took real well to this she was very vibrant when I did this, never added sugar again and never seen her so happy since that..

I've read caffeine can cause abnormal plant growth. Might be something to look into before trying it.

maybe you can try caffeine free root beer or seven up.. but what would this do just give it a sweeter taste or add flavor to the smoke?

You can try Molasses. It's organic, proven to work and doesn't have any of the nonsense your plant won't use. I would put my vote against pouring any Faygo into your soil.

Have you considered adding a piece of mango to the jar you cure the buds in?

When I want mine to have a certain flavor I wait until it's dried and then add a small piece of whatever I want it to smell like in the jar. Usually citrus, or coffee in my case.

I add coca-cola to my water when i need a cheap/easy source of phosphorous. I wouldn't recommend it if your trying to flush. A big reason to flush is to get some of the plant sugars out of the plant. Smoking sugar or plant material with a high sugar concentrate makes for a very harsh smoke. Molassess is one of my main nutes and i have never noticed it affecting the final taste. Just my 2 pesos...

I have heard of ppl around here using flavored grape soda or kool-aid to flush the final week in thier hydro setups. it does give it a flavor and no harm as long as it is the last flush before harvest. I have smoked some strawberry ak that was headie nice smoke with a hint of strawberry to it after dude flushed his with strawberry kool-aid. if you try it let me know how the smoke tastes.

Me too, the phosphoric acid they put in it as a preservative is a convenient pH down when flowering/fruiting... two jobs at once.
