Lighting for growing

Hello i was wondering if anyone could help me with my problem... Yes i am a newbie and im growing i was wondering what fluorescent lighting i should use for growing 4-6 plants. i don't know the wattage i should be using or how many lights. if anyone can helps it would be appreciated thanks

for veg get 6500k daylight cfl 26w there 1600 lums each for about 7$ per 2 blubs
and u neeed 2700k or 3000k for flowering as for how many im useing 22k lum for 21 plants and im still adding i got 17 lights in mine so far

btw you can buy them at walmart (please note you want ones that say (daylight 6500)

Depends on how much you want to spend really. If cost were no issue I would would go with HOT5s, or HOT8s (High Output) but they can run you close to $50 per light. To spend less I'd go with the non HO version of the same lights. Lastly, the least expensive way to go about it is to get yourself a whack of cfls like trickster suggested, you will need more of them than the others but you could always build your collection over time this way.

I couldn't find a link for the ones I have, which are single, linkable 39w HOT5s. They cost me just under $50 each.
