Soil pH

Hi Guys.

I have some potting compost with a soil pH of 5.5. What would be best to use to up it around 6.5?

The size of my pots are 4" for the start, they will be some perlite added too. I heard some lime will do the trick, but how much of it do i add with the compost in a 4" pot and what pH would it be after adding lime?

Use some garden lime.

Use some garden lime.

^^^^ lime, dolomite lime will adjust the soil to neutral 7.0... then a drop or so of white vinegar will bring it down to where it should be... 6.3-6.8 for soil... Luck.
