Spiders are the best thing you can have around your plants. They eat all the bugs, I have never heard of anyone wanting to get rid of spiders.

+1,000.

I have a few spiders in my basement. I rarely see any other type of insect ever...and if I do? I only see that insect once.

I've heard of bugs. Go to lowe's and get some neem oil concentrate and a cheap sprayer.

If you only have a small garden then just get Shultz's 3 in 1 spray. Its a light mix of neem oil, works pretty well get keep things under control. Just remember, many people do more damage to the plants trying to rid them of bugs than the amount of damage the bugs are actually doing.;-)

Try and get a picture of them. Are they really small and mainly on the bottom of the leaves and new growth? If yes, they're probably spidermites.

If not, leave them on the leaves (pun intended).

I had spiders around one of my outdoors plants and I never saw another insect nearby. Free pest control - don't try and get rid of them because they're beneficial.

Like cowboylogic said, pests are likely to do less damage to the plant than you can trying to remove them, and prevention is better than eradication.

If they are spidermites, try using neem oil or ivory soap solution.

If that doesn't work, tobacco tea will.

Good luck.

Might as well pay $11 for the concentrate that makes 32 gallons. I can't imagine that shit going bad, and he might use it on other plants. I know I was glad I had it around when my plums got powdery mildew.
