Serious seeds Bubblegum

So will any tent right?

or does the $139 tent include all that?

i don't see a carbon scrubber in your tent, no it doesn't contain those things but then like everything is always extra money

Well, the wardrobe is meant to be used as a coat storage... coats are heavy...

Plus.. what more priif that it works do I need other than I have it and it works...lol...

its only holding up 1 cool tube, don't too ahead of yourself

I choose that size, just as one would choose sizes on a pre-built tent...

Mine is 36x20x54, but I could have easily built the frame out of 1"x1" wood, which would have been even cheaper, and I could make it any size...

Well, panda film is light proof...

and also a poor and non durable material

You make overlapping edges...

Let me out it this way.. I have the tent, and it was next to my bed for a while... even with the 600 running, I could shut the flap and be in total darkness in my room...

yeah thats the whole point of a tent, if you didn't do that you've failed

As of the hassle of building it...

First I wanted to... second I saved $100...and third... building this tent was as easy as wrapping a gift...lol

maybe it was for you, but seeing as your always so on the point of being factual, it was easy for you, other people it may not be so easy for, which is why i said give him the facts and let him make his own mind up, tell him what went into the building of it, the problems you had and let him make his own mind up if he can be bothered to build it

Just like wrapping a BIG OL' box gift... I even folded and taped the top like that..lol...

Its easier to wrap a small box, but this is still in the easy category in my book..lol...

Well, I put my light inside (obviously), but I put my filter, fans and ballast on the outside...

There is no reason to cram all that stuff inside of the tent,,, it's just more heat to deal with... in my opinion...lol...

yeah there is a reason to put the carbon filter inside, so it cleans the smell before it gets out, the fans are rated for a certain size, if it is outside of your tent and your cleaning your room smell then your going to need a much bigger filter because your using it in a much bigger space, your place probably stinks to high heaven of weed but your so used to it now you probably don't even notice it,

The hole for the ventilation were all custom made, where I needed them and as big as I needed them...

The only thing that tent has that mine does not is a brandname tag...

yeah and the fact that its all self contained, everything is within, you can cover it over and forget about it, it doesn't look like a bad robot from an 80's tv show

Sure...

I'm all for that...

I just showed him mine... and said that I would build one...

I still would... and still think that anyone that can, and wants to save a buck (or a hundred) , should...

That's all...

They are prettier... that's for sure..

but mine has 100% of the features and performance... at a fraction of the cost...

100% of the features no, that is not a fact

There's a fact...lol...

Cheers!
peace :peace::peace:

Gypsy you have very nice craftsmanship.. If anyone was to criticize your work its because they May o may not be able to build something like that themselves.. And it is no disrespect to anyone If Gypsy has the ability and the material means to make it happen for cheaper..

Im going to start looking into a few things.. I actually originally bought wood to make a contained grow cabinet type thing.. (2x4's, 1x1's, and some nice thick 3/8's plywood.)
From here I had the intentions on building a light proof box running fans into and out of it.. but here is where i ran into problems..

I wanted to make it Ideally a 5'x3'x7' (LxWxH) but i had to sacrifice a foot in height.. Now when i went to do my calculation for wattage p sq foot.. I found I was WAY out to lunch with my 1000w.. too much overkill..

With a 5x3 room I ended up with 66.6W per sq. ft. Anyones thoughts?

if you wanna build it and think you can thats cool, try to take a few tips out of gypsy's book though and make it inconspicuous, like something that would'n't out of place in the room its in, cus if anyone ever saw that, they would wanna know wtf it was

there's something that can be taken from his design and the design of the grow tents, like horizontal zippers that go round the sides so you can open up more of then tent and make it easier to get to the plants at the back, a completely water proof bottom so that no spillages get through to your flooring and make stains, cord flaps to run wires out of the back side of the box so that you don't have wires coming all out of the front and everywhere and struts up above for support to hang a carbon scrubber on the inside with a small cargo net for bike helmets,

if your gonna do it , do a really good job otherwise theres not much point doing it

oh and btw i'm running 2 x 600w hid's in a 4x4 area giving me 75 watts a square foot, your is in no means overkill, 50 good 75 great 100 amazing

thanks for the advice man!. All right answers on here. My next purchase will be a cooltube for my 1000w. I think the guy at my local hydro store said the only come in 8 and 10" Hopefuly that fixes all my problems in terms of heat

she is doing wonderful. As of today she has been in flower for her first week. SO what i did was give her more growth space for the stretch period by increasing the distance from the bulb to the top of my plants to 3'.. before today I was keeping it about a foot away from the bulb..

She is now sitting in a much better temperature of about 62f at night and 82f during the day

SO My beautiful bubblegum is now 2 weeks away from harvest and looking good! I will get some macro shots in around harvest time.. But she is looking frosty..

Im sitting at 80f during the lights on.. with 42% RH
At night it drops to a cozy 75f with about 50% RH

Im looking to find ways to drop my humidity for these last 2 weeks.. to increase resin production.

She has been on a 1 month flush with sweetleaf as well..

Hey mann, those are looking beautiful man. Want to hear something funny? I'm on my second grow, too. I'm also growing Bubblegum from Serious. I am also roughly 2-3 weeks away from harvest, too. Ha, you can imagine how interested I've been in seeing your progress. Anyways, check mine out, here's a link to the post with pics taken yesterday.

Mine is all under CFL though. I'm looking to add like a 150w hps to my next grow to really make those buds thrive. Good luck with the rest of your grow man.

Beautiful!! Nice work man! And yes I find that hilarious! Im very happy however to see very similar characteristics.. a very stable line.. I will cherish these beans..

How much do you expect to yield?! Im guessing im going to come in just under 8 oz's.. The sweetleaf additive contributed to mine a great deal. The main cola on my girl looks to be around 2-3 ounces alone. by the time she is dried.

Thanks man. Yeah I read tons of good things about Serious Seeds and I believe it because these things are looking great.

Honestly, I'm not really sure what to expect on the yield. That's only one plant but it's pretty damn big, pushing like 3.5ft tall. If I had to, I would ballpark my yield somewhere in the 1-1.5oz range, that's dried and cured...hopefully. It was topped nicely, in the 6th picture you can see both the top colas. I would be happy with anything in that range, but I'll stay optimistic.

Gobias my first grow was with dual spectrum CFl's and as you can see im still running the same bubbleponics rez :) But it is true what they say... 1000 watts is the way to go... with both spectrums going.. (only the 2 bulbs on my last grow) I pulled 1 ounce dried exactly... SO seeing the amount of cfls your running.. i think your sitting pretty good!!..

MY bubblegum is an absolute monster.. she is like 5 feet tall by 5 feet wide.. hahah and she has bud EVERYWHERE

Haha, yeah man, I read that this plant would stretch the fuck out on me once I hit the flowering stage, but I don't think I'll ever learn that lesson. You're gonna definitely have your hands full come harvest time, that shit is harder work that I thought. This time I got good side lighting though, so hopefully I can avoid those annoying little shit-buds that look like they'll disintegrate upon drying.

I have a second set of plants that just started last week in another closet, 1 feminized Red Diesel and 1 feminized Blueberry. I'm thinking of picking up like a small 150w hps light to compliment the CFLs I got going on, I think it'll really make them blow up.

I actually used the SH Hydroponics set for my first grow also, still using the reservoir and tank and shit but I ditched those nutrients. For this grow I used Botanicare Pure Blend Pro Grow & Bloom and also Bontanicare Cal-Mag and Sweet. I'm told the Sweet is supposed to make the bud taste like candy, I hope it's true.

I would recommend cutting a lot of your big fan leaves.. if not all of them that are blocking light.. I did.. and the small buds are filling in very fast... :) that should help hand in hand with your side lighting..

That's dangerous territory there...

Leaves are the plants food factories... take away the food factories... take away the food...

And not only that, the plant WILL try to replace as many leaves as possible, diverting energy from other more important areas...

You would be better off tying those leaves out of the way...

Just my opinion... though...:eyesmoke:

How would I tie them out of the way without interfering with the buds growing next to them? Do you use like, plastic twist-ties or something? Thanks for the advice man

you know i heard that! and believed that all the way down to the core.. UNTIL i heard of removing the fan leaves from a seedbank site which provided bubblegum. it may be seni seeds..

but regardless! I agree... sugars are produced in your fan leaves.. I cut them and my buds are doing fine.. but again.. its getting carb loaded by sugars already
