cloning a bud.

interesting topic, Ive always wondered why you would clone a plant that you dont know the sex of. kinda pointless.
but i have problems with clones they dont root for me and die, any suggestions?

Well the environment should be good. Humid, moist dipped cuts, warm, rooting gels help. Look into rapid rooters, they are made with natural materials that promote rooting. Keep the moisture fairly high. The bottoms of the rapid rooters should stay wet, the rooters will only hold in the moisture it needs to. - Also, I've noticed better results from giving them about 6 hours of dark right after cutting and putting them in plugs... so you might want to take your cuttings right before lights turn off for the night (supposing you are on 18/6). absolutely.... anything that is/can be stressful to the plant (cloning, pruning, transplanting, etc) is best done right before lights out.. gives it a little time to rest and recover before it goes to work growing again...

when you cut a clone from a flowering plant the further into flower the better in more ways then one.... faster rooting, and a busher plant with out toping, fiming, lst.


hey FDD what ever became of that. i have one that i cut on 3-8-09 that waz 6 weeks into flower and 2day she is awsome. getting ready to flower here again. shes almost 3 ft tall.

build a DIY cloner (sub-forum), epixbud has a good setup. cost you maybe $60, with almost 100% success rate. crazy roots in a week... rockwool is just a guessing game and it'll give you a headache

i say no, i wait and see witch node don'tkick off a single bladed leaf. heres mine, be4 and now. cut on 3-8-09 2ndpic 12 days latter, and so on.

heres my clone from a bud couple years back sad to say I just lost the last clone to a raid lanlourd attack every thing and killed it kicked me out for a couple days it was teh last of its kind to SUPERSKUNKXHAZE FROM SEEDBANK.COM WHICH GOT TAKEN OUT IM SO SAD & PISSED

pick #5 its down on the left about 1 1/2 ft tall and pick 7 is of another strain I was growing more sative but stock was excat same just couldnt get the camera under there

as much as id love to blam it on me being a bit ...high. the only bud i see is the bud u cut off of the clones. the rest looks like just leaves, u may have like...MICRO buds on there or somethin, or my eye sight sux lol but there are no buds on those clones.
